Instinct or 2nd thought?
Some people trust instinct more. Others 2nd thought. I vote instinct. What about you?
I think it varies for me as to what I should choose. If I have more time to make a decision, then I would incorporate a second opinion; but if I have only a brief amount of time, I would go by instinct. Normally, I do not like to be forced to make a decision without weighing the options, so when I have to be forced to make a choice, i.e. either "yes" or "no," then I would choose "no," out of the fact that I do not want to be rushed into making a decision.
But there are times where you have to make a decision, even though you only have a few fleeting moments to choose it. And then you start to regret the decision, second-guessing yourself, and kicking yourself for choosing the worst of the two... not a very nice feeling.

Most of the decisions I make, I've mostly (sometimes XD) ended up with a better result just following my instinct. So in most situations, I follow what my instincts tells me to ^^
That depends alot (as jsalazar) explained on the time you have available to you.
Second thought implies that you have the time to reason, think and choose the best method to approach something, it's human thought at it's level. However, if you were in a life-death situation, you don't have time to think, you must follow your instinct. After all, instinct is there to make us survive conditions that we wouldn't know what to do.
I'd say I follow both depending on the situation, so when I'm for instance rock climbing or sparring with a friend my martial arts I follow my instincts, yet when I'm trying to solve a problem where I have some time to react to, I would go by second thought.

I've gotten pretty much everywhere i've been thus far via instinct, or first thought or reaction. I don't really dwell on decisions for very long, and while i probably should on some, i've found it's much easier to keep a clear and non-bias mind on instinct, keeps you honest, you know?
Its smarter to have 2nd thoughts but more fun with instinct.

I usually go with what I thought of first, or instinct. I learned my lesson form many things that if I changed one thing or I had second thoughts about it, it would usually go wrong... So now, I trust my instincts more and they haven't disappointed me that much!
I'll go with instinct as well. My second thoughts have always mislead me or made things more complicated than they originally were. Also my instinct seems to be right most times.
I prefer my intellect over my instincts.
But it ultimately comes down to the situation. If I have the luxury, I would definitely go with my second thought and intellect. The more time I have to decide, I would most likely spend the time thinking about the choices I need to make (that is if they were difficult choices). My intuition is there for last resort and I only rely on it when I have no time to think (in which stopping to think about the logical answer would be illogical in itself). If you have the time to think, it is best that you do so instead of relying on your instincts from the start.

I would choose instinct. However, if it was a really really important decision to make, like if i was going to choose my university, I would have to use my second thought as well.
Maybe you can call me a logical person. I tend to use 2nd thought to almost everything that I need to decide. Only in special rare case that I choose to use my instinct (or maybe I choose my instinct AFTER my 2nd thought? Who knows :p )
Even if I need to rush, I will use my 2nd thought after all. The most important thing is that I'll take responsibility for every choice I make

It depends. Both are very similar. Instinct sometimes comes in as a second thought. Like when I want to do something and suddenly I realise that it should be done different. I would go for both.

I would go with Instinct but at times you need to think again...But yeah..Its like taking a test...Go with your instincts but the time you second guess yourself...You most likely got it wrong...T-T
For me, it depends on the situation. If time permits I'll think it over or even ask others for what they think would be the best decision. After that I'd usually go with what they said.
Otherwise, it'd probably be instinct for me. There hasn't really been a case where my 2nd thought differed greatly from my first thought.

I am very impulsive, for that i tend to screw things up, or not taking advantage of them... i'm aware of that so i have a constant fight with reasoning, so i always want a second thought (depending on the situation i migth not have that luxury), that sometimes is exhausting
