Which do you prefer? animes that leave you satisfied? or animes that leave you wanting more?
I was just wondering how other people felt about their animes. Okay! to get things started. An anime that leaves you wanting more doesn't necessarily mean it leaves you unsatisfied maybe it's so good that you want more. But then again a satifying ending leaves you satisfied... which do you prefer?!
I like it when it leaves me satisfied, but in that case where should be alot of episodes. Chobits left me wanting more
I still want it

I like it a little bit of both
when it leaves me satisfied then i want more of that and when i want more then it
it dont satisfied me
when it leaves me satisfied then i want more of that and when i want more then it
it dont satisfied me
Maybe I would prefer for an anime that leaves me wanting more because the story don't stops early maybe it has an end but not that fast.
An anime must leave you satisfied but it also has to make you want more.
I would have to say both, just one is like wtf...lol...
A solid ending is what I prefer.
Having potential to expand is always nice, especially if you enjoy a series. However, if it never properly concludes, it always feels kinda empty when you reach the last episode. That's the problem Ranma 1/2 (the anime) saw. The manga left room for future stories if the author chose to continue the story, but also gave a conclusion to how the story with Ranma and Akane would end. That makes an anime or a manga monumentally stronger (but it also has to be good to start ).

Imo it always should leave me wanting more untill a certain point. pokémon is a really good example! ^^ the first season was so exiting, i wanted more and more.. then episode 2 came and after a while i had lost the interest. Now we've got season... 6 or 7?! i dno, but i know that it's too much pokémon now.. the monsters get uglier and uglier every season.
To me... it really makes no difference what anime I watch. No matter what i always end up wanting more. Cause I'm a sentimental guy and I get attached to things and so when there is an anime series i like, and it ends, i always end up hoping there will be more even though the ending... was the end of the story.
I guess its because when you watch the anime, you go through the journey of the main characters and you get to know them better and you go through the troubles and obstacles he faced and how he conquered them and so you grow a bond between the characters (eps the ones that have similar characteristics and personalities as yourself).
I'm just a guy who likes long animes, I wish that all animes could continue and that people and still follow them and see what wacky or adventurous things they will do next and the lessons that they learn and teach the audience watching the anime... its nice.

I generally prefer anime with fewer episodes with an appropriate ending. It could be satisfying or leave me asking for more, either is fine! Both the responses prove that the anime is good.
With anime having several seasons, it seems to get dull with every passing season and seems to drag on. So shorter anime or anime with fewer seasons are better.

I want an anime where I can just finish watching the last anime and move on to other animes, not needing to come back to watch another season. I've seen animes where an absolute ending is good, but an indeterminate ending could be good or bad. Endings like NGE I totally hated it, but endings like Air is really satisfying, because they offer clues as to what may happen in the future. So it varies i guess
I like both. The ones leaving me wanting more though, I like better. I like the feeling of being on the edge of my seat waiting for more even if it doesn't happen, and if it does in the future then I'd just explode in happiness! XD But ones that leave me satisfied are good too, if they are short and sweet.

I would want an anime with around 50 something episodes and it leaves me satisfied, but, if anime which is crazy good, of course, I would want more, and I hope they would do the second season or so. It actually depends. You know? So, yeah, when the crazy good anime is about to finish, I hope it would be over 100 episodes of crazy good stuff, neh? And the ending would of course, hopefully be a satisfying one, neh? ^-^. That's what I think.

A good anime needs a mix of the two. All tease just makes me tired and bored. Not enough and there's nothing to catch my interest. Gurren Lagann with its four arcs is an example of a good show. Each had enough build without delaying the payoff for too long.

Yep, a mix of both is good. But i prefer to define "leaving us wanting more" to be a one or two more season and not infinitely long :-) haha
