What do you think is most important in an anime?

I love pretty much every1 of the anime 1 got and was looking for more :P
Characters Characters Characters, if the characters dont develop and nothing happens with them, then i can't pay attention to the story. I really have to fall in love with the characters to be able to really really enjoy a certain anime
The thing about anime that sets it apart from just normal cartoons are the emotions. It's not just some Saturday morning cartoon. They can make us laugh, cry, and everything in between. The emotion has to be there for me. This means the plot and characters must work well together. You can't have great character interaction but a crappy plot, and vice versa. Regardless on actual animation, voice acting, or anything else these elements must be there if you want a great anime series or movie.

Plot and story would be the most important but it's should have appealing characters too
I think the ideal anime should have a
good sensible storyline and character design.
And maybe a good soundtrack...

And maybe a good soundtrack...
The story, character designs and the characters themselves :) And the first episode ought to be good. you gotta hook the watchers from the very start.
The most important things in an anime:
1. art
2. story/plot
3. character design
4. soundtrack

For me, first is the story/plot. It should be an interesting one. the second is character design, then the voice actor/actrees. I don't really mind about the soundtrack.
There are lots of things that are important in anime.
Here are the two most important ones in my opinion.
a) The characters.
I can't make myself continue watching an anime if the characters are boring. Whereas like-able interesting and NON-stereotypical characters would interest me greatly.
b) The concept
I don't like anime with boring concepts or non-existant ones XD. That's the reason why I like Fullmetal Alchemist; the concept is quite unique in its use if alchemy and transmutaion. Shakugan no Shana also had a really interesting concept with the torches, mistes and Flame Haze etc.

Drawing comes first for me.
good anime should has good drawing and nice colors,
this drawing should feels easy to see, not too complicated.
then storyline, which included character and theme.
then music.

I think the flow of the actual animation and the quality is the most important.
Well actually to get me to watch something, it has to have good animation :P but what good will that do if the story is boring? so it has to have some humor, and I dunno... it just have to be interesting for me to keep wanting to watch more. oh and definitely good soundtracks at least for the theme songs.
A good anime should have a good story, really good characters with kewl personalities and dont forget the cute sexy girls and the bad boys XD
If you can have that, I'd say that would be a great anime, theres also more things but not as important to me. I'm not that picky ^_~

I must have a good storyline or I will get bored right away, and it just feels so meaningless if the anime turns out without a really good plot. Graphic and characthers also has a big part but not as big as the storyline.

what...?? Seifer...?
