This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Good day, everyone!!

I´m planning to do very wonderful wallpapers.
Subject?: All marvelous things that has to do with japanese culture.
I´m from Chile. So, for being sincere, I don´t know almost everything of the japanese traditions, rituals, or even the robes they use. I don´t know anything about geishas, samurais or the edo period, and so!
Then, what I´m needing is some information, links, descriptions and images for giving to me an idea of what I´m going to work with.
I need for example, that you told me or showed me how many things compose the clothing, and how are they. How it wears. More about Kimonos, katanas or paper lamps. How are the drawings made of ink. How it is a traditional house. How is the texture of each thing.
You can leave to me a link where I can learn and see how are those things. A special site related to japanese culture.
Or you can do as I said above: Give a description.

May you are thinking to say now: Go and seek for yourself!
But is good having more than one sources of help, I think.

I´m planning to do a good [Exahustive] vector work, that is going to be in the original anime art category. The first theme is the geisha.
And please allow my style that may not be so anime. I like realism.

That´s all.

Thanks for reading!!

Well this may sound a bit weird, but i think a good recourse for information on geisha, is the movie Memoirs of a Geisha, also look it up on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geisha#Films_featuring_geisha they should have plenty of info for you.

There are many resources online, just google it... (wikipedia is a good site to start)
My advice on an Asian theme (actually, from what you said, you're only into jap culture =__=): please don't use random kanjis on your wall. I just hate it when people use random words (usually with default font too) without even knowing what they really mean.

Relax, Ringofanatic...
...I hate so when people do that.
