I was looking through me saved pictures and thought of something cool I could do on A.illustrator with them. Here's one of them.

click on the image to get its full size, it's supposed to be red but the CMYK on my laptop didn't match with my desktop color settings but it's red, I just have to re-adjust it.
I also have one in Blue Frame, tell me which one is better, thank you.

I love the idea of the wallpaper, but Rei's image is rough, if you didnt vector that character maybe you can try to clean it again, I can see some dots around the image.

Oh and for me I love the red version, since it matches with her eyes.

I like the idea too. It could use some touching up and maybe add some more.
The red version kind of reminds me of Eddie Van Halen's frankenstrat design, which isn't a bad thing!

I agree with rubenz. youre definitely going to need to vector the character since it seems to be very bad quality. Also, the red in her eyes and the red in the rest of the wall dont look the same...in fact, the red in the wall almost looks pink to me. O.O
it also looks too simple. simple is good, but theres no detail/texture to make it look more interesting. if youre gonna make a simple wall like that, patterns usually work nicely.

Vetoring is not the problem here. I used Adobe Illustrator and I was messing around with the brush strokes, I picked rough-charcoal stroke.
If everyone looks closer at the "Rei" structure of the WP, it's not the vectoring it's the stroke I picked.
I look at everyone else's wallpapers and it seems everyone is worried about there smoothness, so I decided to give the "Rei" structure a more rough kind of outline to contrast with the smooth background.
I wanted to make the "Rei" structure more like a painting so that was another reason why I chose the stroke, works for me I don't know about everyone else.
And about the Red Frame, for some reason the CMYK on my laptop didn't match up with my desktop CMYK, so instead of Red you see Magneta, which annoyed the hell out me. But it is supposed to be red. The Blue Frame came out nicer.

I like the red version .. this make the original colour of nerv logo !

so thing i feel strange that is when your Rei touch the red line i feel that part got some problem but i dunno how to describe it ... i feel sorry ... i just post this to tell my opinion to this wallpaper

I love it. It's simplistic but still has much to give. Maybe it's just my computer but the solid reds are pixelated.
