I find Ikaruga and Star Ocean 3 VERY DIFFICULT !! Ikaruga is OMG, too many damn bullets !! and Star Ocean 3 is just ridiculous..

YS - the Ark of Napishtim in nightmare mode is the hardest game I ever played. the bosses can kill you with one strike so easy
that's right Final Fantasy VII is extremely difficult because of the Weapons ( Even if they are optional bosses)but I manage to beat Emerald weapon fair and square by leveling the main characters to ther maximun level and getting all summons and the precious Final Attack materia and if you beat Emerald weapon Ruby Weapon becomes too easy to defeat.

Hardest? Lets see... Disgaea 2 is complicated... TOO complicated! Also Legend of Mana you have to go everywhere like a maze... It gets really confusing! Final Fantasy 3 for DS I'm stuck already... (I just started!) And last but not least, Chocobo Dungeon 4 because I don't even know where I'm going in that game!

For me Perfect Cherry Blossom on Lunatic, I keep hearing people can breeze through it with practice but I cant get anywhere :(
The games from these days aren't that hard, you can get stuck at some parts, but with a week or two you can finish the game.
now . . . the games from the past, early 90's, they were "impossible" games, like enduro of atari, if someone finished that game, he/she is a god player(yes, it's possible to finish enduro, it has almost 255 stages, but have a ending).

Hardest game ever would have to be Devil May Cry 3. Some Majora's mask was extremely confusing, its the only game I ever used a stratedgy guide on (besides pokemon when i was little =D). Finaly fantasy Tactics is a pretty hard game as well, but its also one of the most fun. I also just finished Zelda: Twilight Princess, Which was a really hard game in terms of figuring out the temple's, but i still flew through it in 40 hours =p. Its also my new favorite zelda.
My most difficult game is Genji : Dawn of Samurai in hard mode, in the middle boss, once you attacked, the damage will make your HP bar become a quarter @_@. I can't imagine how the final boss's damage :). The second is Fatal Frame in hard mode. It's same like the Genji, once attacked, the HP is only a quarter, it's final challenge is hard too. @_@

For me it has to be Shinobi for the PS2
I always think ff vii was hard i got so anoyed at it cos i kept dieing so so many times i chucked the controler on the floor and broke the vibration in it! i gave up on it in the end lol

The most difficult game that i played was GOUL'N GHOST, and more i never succeed to finish it T_T
Just thinking about the original Ghouls and Goblins makes me shiver since i never finished the blasted game. Another one would be Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden......THAT game = very very evil

The only one that I can reember at the minute is Crash Bandicoot. It's because it's the only one that's hard that I've played recently. I'm not sure why it's so hard, I can remember flying through it back in the old days. Must of lost my touch I guess.
There's a few that I can think of that a really hard, but I can't put my finger on what their names are though... Timesplitters 3 on Hard mode is quite a chalange though.

I think tekken 2 was hard. Like on the later levels characters like Jun and Michelle were like crazy hard cause they just wouldn't give you a damn chance. And most of all is Kazuya who is only the second to last guy to fight and yet he's so freakin hard that he should be the final boss over that pathetic boss devil. And finally pong, it just won't let you win.

lol you same as me at first i play this game woo... scary, i get shock when some unknown origin appear suddenly but now i have beat this game and expansion too.
The hardest game i ever play is Armored Core series, this game is nearly impossible to beat especially at final mission. for example, AC: Last Raven this game consist of 8 ending (if i'm not wrong) and there is only 1 real ending, in real ending i have to face a damn well F*****G AC, she is impossible to defeat. And Fire Emblem at GBA series is hard too except Sacred Stone, cuz this game doesn't give a chance to improve some level character that's why i'm always stuck with this game. Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus is complicated too i don't like this game even i'm like something related to Final Fantasy VII.
