I dont have much trouble cleaning my room... but i need to be VERY bored to decide cleaning it xD

I have all these mangas and I think they're fun to organize. I like to go through my books and put them in the correct place. (just me?) And since they are all the same size, it's so easy to clean them. But the rest of my room, is covered in clothes. But I hate untidyness.

Upon reading this thread, here are my answers, I both dislike and like to clean my room. Why two answers you may ask? Well here it goes. When I dont like to clean my room, its usually when I'm being a lazy baka and I tend not to do so much for myself. Its just when I try to motivate myself, it seems to lead into more dismotivation. But when the time comes I really need to clean my room, knowing myself, I have to clean my room or my kaa-san will grow angry at me and state out her usuall lectures of keeping my own space clean and being responsible of myself. Also, it depends on the situation, if its not so dirty, I dont give a shit, but if its omega dirty, those are times I truly push myself to clean before mom comes in.

So, frankly speaking, what's your personal attitude towards that duty? And why do you treat it that way? As for me, I just don't think there's enough dust to clean, that's it. If there's a real mess in my room in this case only I'm ready to consider the very idea of cleaning... Ahhh, if only it were the way I've told you... When I was a child parents (mom) just made me do it and there's no escape. Now when I got used to it there's no need to make me do it but sometimes I dream of that happy time when I could just see through all that dust and trash... golden years... Well, what's your story, people?

I only clean my room once every month. Only then does it get messy enough for me to have the urge to clean it up.
Though my mom (just like yours used to do) still forces me to do it at times (and thus messing up my awesome once in a month schedule!)

My room, I like it to be clean, which most of the time i am too lazy to do the cleanning so a bit dirty. I do the cleanning job every month. It not bother me as i still find my thing.

My room is always clean because why bother throwing something on the ground when I can take two steps and put it away. Though I do need to work on dusting my room more, but sometimes I do get into the mood to clean, so I dust and vacuum. But there are those even rarer moods, when I clean everything out of my room, get rid of a bunch of crap I don't need. I did that after I moved back from College.

I don't have my own room since I share a room with my 2 younger sisters. For now I just clean up my part of our room, but I still can't help seeing our room messy.. >_<;

Well that always depends on my mood, on some days I feel the interest of doing it, finding out my own cleaning methods ^-^-^-^-^-^ being innovative in my own cleaning process. But when I am really busy with my university stuff, I don't have the motivation to clean anything at all.

I like living in a clean environment but I don’t like clean my room very often.Cleaning my room once several weeks is already enough for me,and everytime I just sweep and swab the floor,put away my books, wipe up the desks and computers ect. I only could do something easy and not need much time. So when somebody get into my room,the first reaction is “How dirty random~”,but I think it doesn’t matter,after all the room is not of them. I don’t care about myself? Maybe. But everytime I went into a girl’s room,I will be ashamed of the great difference so I seldom let girls visit my room,it is too terrible~

I love cleaning my room. I seriously cannot go to sleep if something in my room isn't set up the right way or something.

Hmm.. You know how when you're in kindergarten or something, you have crumpled papers at the bottom of your bag that dates back to the first day of school? Yeah, well I'm turning 21 this year and my bag STILL has that.

I could really care less for organization so long as I can find things. And I CAN find things... It just takes some time sometimes that's all... If I have guest I force myself to clean a bit so that they're not consumed by dust and dirt, thus having my parents suggest we have guest more just so I we clean. My mother still tells me to clean my room because I sure as hell won't do it for fun on my own. It's a good thing my models and figurines are in a glass case because back when they weren't, having to wipe each one and blow the dust out of the cracks was annoying. Since I have a bunch of useless girly thingies (Like stupid shaped boxes I keep just because it looks cool/dried up nail polish bottles because it looks cool/ miniature dices/ scrunchies with animals sewed onto them, hello kitty boxes with shitty fake jewelry in them that I'd never wear nowadays but will keep for sentimental reasons/ etc, all the other junk you know girls keep. damn that wasn't a sentence. Anyway, I have them, they make my room messy on my shelves, and I get bad allergies during the summer. I COULD try and live in a white room with nothing but my computer and alarm clock inside, but seriously now...

My mom is almostobsessive compulsive about ordering things, such as shelves and how cans are supposed to align and such. Based on the way I throw cans into a cabinet after coming home from the supermarket, she concluded that I have no art talent. XD

I hate cleaning but I hate mess too and even though my room is presently messy I conscider a messy room or house to be just plain laziness.
