Disgaea wallpaper - suggestions?

^ That's my wall, going to redo the whole purple background because it looks too plain though. So now i could use some critique/suggestions on what can be made better...except the purple background.

Wow, is very well. My advice is to put 2 or 3 distant planets in the image, to give the sensation of depth. You can put a planet in the part of under color violet, and another up of green dark color.
Or the moon could be in second point, to leave the characters in first plane.

Ah sweet, this is the kinda advice i love, was also thinking the image lacked depth but i didnt kno how to correct it, ty. :D

Hmmm, agreed :) But adding too many planets could make the wallpaper too crowded, or too over-done. So think carefully where you're going to put things :) And secondly I think you should look for some nicer brushes than the default brushes on Photoshop xP Try looking about on Deviantart for some really nice brushes :) In this case, I think you're looking for stars? ^^
Don't forget to add your signature to the bottom of the wallpaper :) And another thing is try adding more contrast to the characters, try out this Cleaning Tutorial, it improves the quality of your scan, and makes it look prettier ;) Not bad so far! Keep it up! ^____^

Thx for all the advice, cleaning tut really made the characters look better. And i'll keep the "too crowded" thingy in mind. :)

Image got more depth now i think, characters looks better, i might redo the background again though since i'm not completely satisfied with it. Also going to add my sig of course..and a name...if i can think of one.

have you tryed another color for the moon... some light blue/gray, something in the middle... maybe it could be nicer then the red one... i think is too dark for the moon... and you already have strong colors on the background...

Well, I think I liked it better without the "X-stars" I think it looks much realistic with just the round stars, you know?
