Welcome to the NHK! wall
1 Page: [ 1 ]
Went with the 'desktop' theme, while adding just a bit of grunge to fit with the theme of the series. I scaned in the pencil and notebook paper, the rest is stock and photoshop work. The notebook paper is suppost to be one of the pages in Misaki's notebook, shown in the series, and the sticky note contains some of her dialog.
So do you think it's presentable? Please give me your opinions. :)

Hmm.... well after looking at the wall. I can't see any special theme in it. But it is ok. The wall lacks realism, i mean there is no lighting effects and obviously no shadows. I think the sticky note should have a light shadow on the notebook paper. And so should the Photograph on the table aswell as the papers. And the font somehow does not look very good to me. I don't know maybe it's me i guess!
And the pic is very dark. I can hardly see the girl standing on the left in it.
Well that is all i can point out right now.
My opinion may not be very professional as i am not a waller but i have looked at your wall from a spectator/viewer's point of view.
Hope to see an improved version of this wall!
Warm regards,
The Firestorm

Spectators' opinions are just as important as artists'. I mean the majority of people who use walls are spectators afterall. :P
Anyways, I was thinking along the same lines of what you pointed out. I'll see what I can do and work on it some more.
Thanks!

Another thing as far as shadows and that go would be to create maybe that angling up with the sticky note and the shadow, sice that what sticky notes always tend to do.
My only other suggestion would be to maybe incorporate a little bit more contrast in the colors of the wallpaper. It seems so blan an not interesting with colors that are all about the same intensity. The only thing here that falls out of that pattern is the photograph and it seems to make it draw a lot of attention ((which isn't bad, but it detracts from the rest of the wallpaper...)) I would just say use maybe some darker colors for the wood grain in the table and a bit more of the shading element and you'd be pretty much set for a wallpaper.

Updated the wall slightly, though I know it still needs work.
Please continue to give me your comments/suggestions. ^

I'm having trouble getting to your wallpaper now. It says something about the data transfer has been exceeded for this site, so I think you used up your bandwidth temporarily. Maybe you should try with photobucket or imageshack for your wallpapers.
That's my mistake >,<. I've been meaning to get an imageshack account for awhile now anyways...

This looks a little bit different than it did before and it seems to be working out pretty well. I do notice that there seems to be a dark outline ((or a shadow on both sides)) of the pencil here. Maybe that should be worked with again...
I think its pretty cool! But the picture of the girl...is it suppose to be a photograph? I think if you lined it in white, it would look more like a photograph and that might be cool...but its only a suggestion :O the pencil seems fine to me, but the sticky note could use a little more texture maybe? Something that makes it more like a sticky note...that's what it needs! Other than those things, I really love the composition and I'm sure it'll turn out a great wall.
More minor changes...
Made the shadows under the pencil more subtle.
Added a bit of texture to the sticky, although its not very noticeable..
As for the photograph...I liked the borderless print look better, but I'll expirement with how it looks.

I think it would look instantly more interesting and like the random musings of Misaki if the text and pie chart weren't aligned quite so perfectly with the lines on the paper :P How about trying a more handwriting or script-like font? You could add a subtle page curl effect to the sticky note and a slight gloss to the photograph for that little extra realism. I'm not too sure about the heavy grain effect on the photo; at first I thought it was meant to be rain. Just have a go with those few tweaks and see how it turns out.
I like this wallpapers >.< . it's good and interesting. and i think Furikuu is right ^^ you should change the handwriting text -_-
