It looks really nice so far! I like the composition and angle...but the lampost in the background is extracted poorly (it has some rough white edges)...you should either re extract it or take it out.
Good luck :)
Good luck :)
The color of the text is much better now, so it suits well.
as to positioning, you can now move it more to the right and higher up. placing text so close in a corner isn't the best choice. since you have more room due to the smaller text, you have freedom to not make it look like that was the only place you could put it. this is my biased opinion (since you know i'm not a supporter of using default effects) but i don't find the text particularly plain without the glow.
you can always offer multiple versions in your description, if you can't decide which one you want. as well, i've been thinking a little: what would a textless version look like?
and a little thing: the perspective on the lamp post is off. it should be view from below according to the perspective of the stock building. but it's not big. i never looked at it long enough to figure out what bothered me but this time, i found it xD
almost there!

I personally like the textless version. this is a bit surprising to me, because i generally almost always use text in walls of my own. o__O i don't know why, but perhaps the balance seems better? not sure. xD either way, to appease both those who want text and those who don't feel the ncessity, as i said previously, both versions can be offered. you can submit one and link the other, depending on your own preference.
i'm feeling pretty satisfied with the textless. so i guess you can wait for clarings to see what she thinks of the text. =]

*giggles*
i agree, without the text it seems to be more balanced. but there's this slight tingling sensation that it's empty without the text.
Either way is fine ^_^
but i'll wait for more comments to come. And to hear what clarings-chan has to say.
But for now, i gotta run. XD im late for my class. *giggles*
Thanks a lot at asa and clarings for much of a help for this wall. I very much appreciate it. And to those who gave their comments and suggestions - thanks a bunch to you guys.
love and peace ^_^v

You are welcome for the help! ^^
i think you feel that that spot there is empty probably because you are so used to seeing text there that you feel there should be something in that place. that's very much normal. and perhaps another contributing factor is that that particular corner is just black. a single color without any details can look slightly empty. now had there been a couple of dabs of lighter mist, it would not look like it's missing something. i'm not saying you have to add mist to the textless version though.
now where is clarings? *looks all around*

Still here...^_^
can i add textures to my wall?
can i add textures to my wall?
Textures couldn't hurt...right? i mean it is a dark wall, with the right mood for it. so yeah, sure, go ahead and try some textures out to see how that looks. =] it might add something to what you've got right now. (lol :] i'm a fan of textures.)
now where is clarings? o__O it's as if she just vanished. but then again, people have their busy days. speaking of which, i better get going now.

Textures are available on many sites: the famous deviantART, tama-neko's desktopanime!, aethereality, etc. i think that deviantART, just because it is such a large art community, would be the convenient place to go. it has a considerable collection and you can search up what you are looking for. of course, you need to think of what you want, such as "scratch texture" or "leather texture" or something like that. don't forget to read the user's usage policy if he/she has one. (if not, just credit him/her through a userpage link when you submit.)
since you are doing an overall texture, all you do is you open your wallpaper psd and your texture. drag the texture layer into your wall psd. make sure the texture is the topmost layer. then position it so that it covers your entire wall. then, change the blend mode of the texture layer to either overlay or soft light. overlay generally gives a brighter appearance and soft light, a softer look. play with the layer opacity if you have to.
and tada, you have a textured wallpaper. :D

Uhh... i found some scratch texture at DeviantArt... are they really brushes? this is the first time, i'll work on textures... so im kinda clueless... @_@

Well, just as i thought after i posted my comment last time... i remembered my experience doing this wall of mine some time ago. it had some light parts and lots of black space. the texture only showed up on the light parts because black parts don't take the texture. the same thing happened here.
however for your case, i thought that maybe the buildings would help against the lack of texture in the bg. yet it seems that they don't really show the texture either. so that pretty much only leaves the scan + mist being textured. now, that's not necessarily bad, but it is a little odd.
so for the moment, i'm kind of in favor of you submitting the untextured version and offering the textured one as an extra in your description. =/ but it depends: which one do you like better -- texture or textureless?
