i agree with asa01 about that texture... but maybe you can try adding another layer with the texture and place it below the scan and mist... so that the texture could look a bit stronger at the back... play with the two layers a bit to see what happens...
About the text... i always like to see some text on walls... although your last text needed some help... and it still didn't match well...
I say keep working on it...
anyway i made 3 versions for you to use if you like them... i save them in png format so that you can easily paste them on your wall
