Theres Tomb Raider that was a good game..Atleast it had a good gameplay.Then there is ummm Star Wars as you mentioned and alot others..Not all of them go good!

Final fantasy has got to be my favorite one... though ffvii advent children couldve been a little bit better i was still grateful that they remade it into a movie because it redrew all of the people into really nice graphics for people to eventually make into awesome wallpapers =D love seeing the tifa wallpaper its one of my favs

Advent Children was a sequel, not a movie adaption of the original story. And yes, I think it could have been improved, but imagine how much time that would have taken to make...

I don't like games that are based off movies (there's practically a game for every movie that makes it to the cinemas); because most of them only gain sales from fans of the movie, and not the games' own reputation. Which is why often there are problems like bad graphics, weird or unplayable controls, and overall not a very entertaining experience.

Resident Evil is loosely based on the game, so I don't think it's quite a re-adaptation. I heard the movie Hitman was quite good, but could have been better. Overall, re-adaptations often do not meet the high standards of the fans, although they can probably be quite entertaining as they all have their highs and lows.

Advent Children could have been a great game.
Why didnt they make FFVII remake for the PS3 that could have owed Sony the next 5 years. But I wish they would make it.

I would have to say that games to movies would be my favorite. Advent Children was great though I have never played the Final Fantasy 7 before, I do know the storyline and everything. The fact is that it was great. I was truly amazed at what I saw. I really don't know of any games that have been changed to movies except for Advent Children. As for movies to games, I really don't like them. I mean if you've seen the movie of a series, it would be nice to play the game as it'll give the feeling that your there fighting that monster, or climbing that ladder(examples). Even though that's the case, you could just watch the movie to kinda get that experience too. If you play the game after watching the movie, you'll know excactly what's going to happen which kinda seems like a waste of money. If you watch the movie after playing the game, that'll ruin things as well. For instance a harry potter game. I don't know what the most recent movie was(I'm not a huge harry potter fan) but it had a title after it(Was it the order of the phoneix?) just as the movie did. I don't really think they'll add too much more to the game if it's named order of the phoneix. If they added a completely new storyline, it wouldn't be named that. So, all in all, movies turned into games aren't so good in my opinion as you know what's going to happen. The only way I would change my mind would be if the movie completely blew me away and there was mentioning of a game being made from that movie. For example advent children. If they made a game like that, new storyline or not, I would buy it if I knew that I would be amazed with it just as I was with the movie.

I'd prefer the game to movie switch, because it has a better chance of turning out good. I thought the Hitman movie turned out pretty damn good, and yes, i played (and beat) the games beforehand. I think Resident Evil (the movie and it's sequels) kinda sucked, but at least there's no game based on the movie. Transformers: The Movie: the Game (the new one) was fairly terrible.

I cant think of a game->movie that hasn't been mentioned above... i think i have my hopes high with the HALO movie :3 that game is great!

I have no faith in Movies based on Video Games... or Visceversa... at least not live action movies... I dont think Advent Children counts since it is animated

There really hasn't been any good video game adaptions to the screen nor have there been any good movie to video game adaptions. Starting from the beginning like Mario Bros. or Mortal Kombat, the story for the movies were always contrived. Jumping to the now, such games like DOA, Reign of Fire and the such have been done poorly. The only thing that has been done well are probably the Pixar works due to the already video game look for them.

There is probably something that has been done well but none come to mind at the moment.

Only good movie to game adaptation was and will always be Golden Eye 007 for the N64. Rare did everything right for that game.

I've yet to see a good, game to movie either. Most (if not all) are nothing like the game. I'd hate to see what the Halo movie would look like (lol, Master Chief isn't the main character).
