Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

This is a suggestion that i think will GREATLY improve animepaper. If we allow people to submit a high res wallpaper and have mutlple scaled down resoltutions to 1280x1024 and 1024x768 for example, it would be better for people. Its not hard to resize the wallpaper but its just easier to have multiple resolutions to choose from.

You can download the smaller resolutions at the waller's website. If not, you can still place the wallpaper on your desktop since as long as it is the same ratio, the wallpaper will resize automatically just fine without any rough edges. So you won't have to use any fancy program to resize a wallpaper down.

If it's a 1600x1200 wallpaper it can resize down to 1280x960 > 1024x768 > 800x600. I have 1280x960 but I place a 1600x1200 resolution wallpaper on my desktop and it resized just fine. Not sure for 1280x1024 and what it resize down to.

I see what you are saying but:
1) when windows resizes the paper automatically there ARE jaged edges, its not perfect. You cant always notice it with wallpapers but some of them really show up.
2) the 1600x1200 and 1280x1024 resolutions are on different scales as you have mentioned. Itd be nice to have one of each scale.
3) Some people can make a 4:3 aspect ratio and a 16:10 aspect ratio wallpaper that are essentialy the same but one is widescreen. Itd be nice to have them in one location instead of multiple posts.

You can just upload the files to an external imagehost and then place the link together with your wallpaper descriptions.

Can you not just visit the wallers website? Or use photoshop/paintshop pro/GIMP to resize/crop the wall? Or even PM the waller and ask if you can get the wall in another resolution?

I think of AP as being more like a big advertising space than anything else, promoting your walls. If I like a wallers work I tend to bookmark their site and then visit it to see what they can offer.

I like trismugistus's explination best, its probably the only one that convinces me that we dont need multiple resolutions. ^_~
