what do you think about death note ending (for people who already finished the anime)
Hi everybody I've just finished watching death note it was awesome and i liked the ending yet i always regret the death of L he was my favorite character what do you think?
Omg, the Death Note ending! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.. And omg.. Matsuda! I never would have suspected that! I had never read the manga so I really didn't know what was going to happen... I do really wish that L would have stayed around, but he got his revenge in the end. I also loved it how Mello was the key to everything. That was great! xD.. I'm really glad I watched it. Death Note is one of my favorite animes now!
I thought it was better than in the manga. Still felt painful watching it. Light was my hero :'(
The ending for the anime was pretty intense. I read the manga a long time ago, and just downloaded the last episode to see how the ending was animated, and I think they did a way good job doing it. Personally I like it better than the manga ending just because I feel that the animation really brings out the point, instead of just looking at black and white images.
However, they did leave some parts that were in the manga out of the anime.
1. Light begs Ryuuk to write everybody elses name in the Death Note, and then they all shoot at Ryuuk, but since he is a shinigami he is unaffected. So then Light thinks he's won again because they can't kill Ryuuk, but then Ryuuk tells light that he will be the one that kills him, and writes Light's name in the notebook in front of everyone, and thus Light dies right in front of everyone.

2. After Light dies, a couple days later, Matsuda and the other detective dude go on and reflect about what happened, and they pretty much summarize everything that went on though out the last couple chapters, from Kira and Near, the Death Note, and to where Kira went wrong. (stupid Mikami!)
3. The final pages depict a scene on a mountain top with hundreds of people gathering. They arrive at the peak where a girl holding a candle ( Misa? I can't tell...) bows down and prays for "Kira-sama" and lays the candle on the ground.
Wonder why they left all that out...
However, they did leave some parts that were in the manga out of the anime.

I read the manga and ill say it SUCKED cuz evil (Light) lost...i mean wTF here i was looking for some different anime/manga but in the end...its pretty much the same as all those other ones
BUT
not totally and Death Note has its really good points (there you go DN fans, dont hit me) its really really just the ending that made me feel extra negative to it.

I shall check its animated version and see if its any good cuz personally, i want to get that manga ending out of my head.
Though i know Light will still lose, there may be something else to see

The ending was okay way too predictable in my opinion, i eventually saw that Light was going to lose, so there was no point, at least thats what i got from reading the manga, dunno if the anime ending is any different...or if anything happens differently

I read both the manga and seen the anime and I have to say that I liked the anime ending better. It's mainly because Light is my favorite character and I think the feeling it showed in the anime was better. In the manga, he died pathetically, but in the anime, it's kinda more peaceful and a nicer way for him to die. Although, both endings are still great, I just like the anime a little better.
Death Note is probably one of my all time favorite shows ever. The ending came sooner than I thought, now I just wonder what I should watch now that can be on the same level as Death Note...

Hmm...I don't quite like the ending because my favourite character L died but the anime was well done after all!
Man, it was good but they shouldn't of killed him off at the end.

Well i kinda wished that Light would win but that would be too twisted if that happened right? Well ,technically, i like its ending though, but i did'nt ike the fact that Light died. Btw, what dyou think happened to light after he died? I'm kinda curious if he's going to become a death god or something like that..

I loved death note! At some point though, things were getting a lil blurry, so I had to replay some scenes that I didnt understand well. But, Death Note is still worth watching, though it was tragic, my crushes died! The ending was predictable and a bit scary, and Near was great.
Some questions hanging though. But the Death Note experience? A nine out of 10. :D
