Oh man! I LOVE Initial Drift! It's soooo awesomely full of awesome awesomeness!! The best of it's class! And also the music tracks are really nice! Everything.. everything about the series is totally awesome! Initial D is one of the best things i have ever seen! But... i've only seen the anime till now. And in that, honestly, i liked the First Stage over all the rest. Although i've not completed the anime even! xD But anime of manga... I've always wondered one thing... what if.. there's a race like... Bunta vs Takumi vs Ryosuke vs Itsuki...?? o_O What would happen in that race and what would be the result of it? o_O On Mt. Akina of course... the place where it all began... where a legend was born.... Ok.. wait.. Itsuki is there just for fun and the comical relief...... he'll probably be lagging behind 80 meters away from the rest...... the Lonely Driver Itsuki...... lolz... Oh! And i just got my hands on this exclusive and top secret vid clip which is now a gif. It shows how Takumi actually had a passion for drifting and was born with this talent... lolz... Lookie here: See? You can clearly see that Bunta is teaching Takumi how to drift. Thats a scene from the earliest stages of his skills... lolz... It is really like an art form. Seeing him drift with such technique in his Tri-Eno TE06!! Just look how skillfully he enters the corner at such high speed and then countersteers so smoothly while exiting the corner at an even greater speed! And the way he manages the power to weight ratio so well! It's just incredible... i have tears in my eyes now... lolz... INITIAL D FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! t(>_<)

Ah.... Bunta vs Takumi has been done. Itsuki vs Ryosuke, why Ryosuke need to race him? There is no point for Ryosuke to race him. As for that image, seen it and it's old.

But I have to agree that it's really fun anime/manga.

It's the best anime of it's class :P

And lol... no, i meant as in a 4 way race. Like all four characters in a single race. What'd be the result of that??
I am especially wanting to know of Ryosuke vs Bunta. With his 'hypothesis's' can Ryosuke win? Where will Takumi be?

Give all the 4 racers an equally powered and handling car, though. In other words, the same car.

But as for Itsuki... lol... like i said... he's there for the comical relief from all the tension and over-excitement the other three racers would create.. lolz... xD

And yeah... that gif is old... but it's still funny... and fits nicely there... lol...

K, I'm pretty sure, most people know, but Takumi isn't going to race with GC8, Bunta said it many times "This is my car" and it's not really fun to see Takumi drive GC8 (even I own GC8 myself). Thing that make who Takumi is that, he drive AE86 and still keep up with other new cars. But if he start racing with GC8 a lot of fans will stop reading/watching Ini-D.

As for 4 way race, I would of chose: Bunta vs Joshima vs Tachi vs Keisuke

As for others... I would of chose: Mako & Sayuki vs Kyoko

As for funny race... I would of chose: Itsuki vs Kazumi

Yes..i also agree with you ichitaka...but, dunno, they will produce this battle o not for the audience...hahaha...

Hmmmm..... i think that Bunta does let Takumi drive his Subaru. Not on a permanent basis or anything. But to keep him in touch with the drive styles of new machines aswell as the 86. Doesn't he let Takumi drive the car on alternate days? To deliver tofu or something like that..?

And Takumi vs Keisuke was Takumi's very first race. Which he won, of course! :D

But i don't know about the other places yet. Other than Akina.

And i agree with Ichitaka there about Takumi racing with the GC there. But Takumi does deliver tofu in the GC, though. He may not be racing it.

It's one of the main things in the anime/manga. Takumi's almost gifted skills. Even though he races with an underpowered car, he still wins. Based on his understanding of his car, his impulse, his intuition, his reflexes, his ingenuity, his way of driving and all... in other words... his skills.

It's really exciting and fun to watch Takumi do all that and win over an overpowered car compared to his. But if you give Takumi a powerful car aswell. Or maybe more powerful, since Bunta does all the tuning and all. Then things will start to become less and less interesting. Since even if he applies all his skills and all and obviously wins, people will eventually begin to say that... "Nah... it was probably because of the nice ride that he's got that he won. It really wasn't much of Takumi's doing" See what i mean?

And also, Initial D has always maintained a sense of realism compared to all other animes/mangas out there. That is why, if they put Takumi in a nice ride, they'll have to include those statements i quoted above. Mostly the people or the audience in the 'galleries' in the anime/manga will be saying that.

If you've played any of those newer NFS games, you'll completely understand what i mean to say here. Like when you start off your career in the game. In the early races, it's all really dependent on your reflexes and skills and all. Since you've got a really low powered car. But as you progress and get your hands onto those big machines, the supercars. Then the races begin to get easier and easier. Easier compared to the early races, that is. And you tend to get bored eventually.

That is what could happen if Takumi gets a really powerful car. Or a supercar or something!! It maybe really exciting to watch in the very beginning, since Takumi will step out of a really awesome car. But that excitement will drain off.

But as Initial D is right now, it never really lets the excitement drain off. Thats the beauty of it.

As much as i'd love to see Takumi drive a Lamborghini Diablo or something, i wouldn't want to see him race in that car too often. The reasons, i've mentioned above.

Hm... I don't know about that. It doesn't matter what kind of car it is, there is ALWAYS some weakness that need to corrected.

K, here's the example if Takumi start driving GC8 and the weakness:
1 - It doesn't turn tighter
2 - It doesn't respond as fast
3 - Lack of RPM
4 - Heavier Weight
5 - Adjust ABS & LSD
6 - Different Power Ratio
7 - Chassis are softer
And I can go on the lists... But because of lack of my willingness write! So even he move up to more faster/powerfull car, he has a lot of thing to change around.

But yeah... if the series progresses to an even higher level, like stage 7 or something. Like every goes global and race on other countries!! And there Takumi will find much better cars, then yeah. He'll need to upgrade to a better car. But thats a whole different story.

For now, i wouldn't wanna see Takumi drive a car superior to almost all other rival cars out there.

Also, the 86 now has some kind of an extremely strong bonding with the Initial D anime now. It'd be very depressing to see that fade away.

LOL, I'm pretty sure he can, but from racer myself's point of view (both ilegal and legal), there is BIG difference in AE86 and GC8. I have driven both high tune and stock, and it doesn't matter how much you tune it like AE86, GC8 is wild horse! Most of racer, who have started out from GC8 and go up to GDB, they all can say that GC8 is wild horse! And yes, I have driven and raced mid tuned AE86. AE86 can be wild, but not the same level as GC8.

Anyways, I'm guessing that Ini-D will end Keisuke and Takumi go to pro-driver... But that's my guess

I am really looking forward to seeing more of Initial D!

I hope they do make an extension of the story. It's far from being a monotonous story for me. Maybe they could add in some new twists or somethings!! Bunta's past or somethings never unraveled in the anime till now.

FirestormII.... I just said, it's my guess. I'm not , I'm not Shuichi Shigeno. So, I have no clue how they gonna end... Maybe Takumi gonna marry Natsuki and that's the end... Never know.

As for Bunta Story, I agree to read what he was like when he was young... But half not really. Bunta is the King of Touge (it doesn't matter which touge). and seeing him not King of Touge is.... Sad...

Oh and just the reason why Shigeno chose AE86 and GC8 is because, he own both of them. And if you read other manga he made before Ini-D, You'll see Ryosuke, Keisuke, Bunta, Takumi (not really), and etc in other manga he have drawn.

But off to the side, in the Japanese forum, this guy made a novel about Ini-D side story which is not offical or anything, but it's really interesting. Main chara is Girl drifter!
