Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

Gay Marriage

I'm just wondering about what other people think about Gay marriages.

I think that gays/lesbians/homosexuals should have the right to get married just like anyone else. I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed to get married. I know alot people are going to say its a sin and its not natural. But I believe you can't help who you feel attracted to and who you fall in love with and even if it is a sin isn't "God" suppose to love us no matter what. I mean since most people do believe that God created us wouldn't that also mean that God created homosexuals? Then there are people who think it is a birth defect which I don't believe because once again you can't help who help who you fall in love with or who you care about. I read about a story about a lesbian couple that were together 25 years they bought a house together and everything but once one of them died everything went to the next of kin who didn't like them being together and the other one was kicked out of her home. Now if it was a married couple everything would've went to the spouse. I just think that that was wrong. Just think people of different races use to not be able to marry each other but now they can. How can this be the land of the free if we don't have the freedom to at least marry the person we love and want to be with?? I think everyone has the right to be with the one they love and marry them if they do wish to do that. I know there are probably alot of people out there who disagree with me but thats what I believe and just think if you were told you couldn't marry the person you wanted to spend the rest of your life with and people told you that your love wasn't natural how would you feel about that?

I just want to see if other people think the way I do.

Okay. This is kinda a touchy subject, so don't attack me for anything i say PLEASE!!

First things first - marriage is something intended for being between a man and a woman. The purpose of marriage is to make a sacred bond between two people and allow them to bring children into the world. That's where i don't agree with gay marriage.

But...gays and lesbians are people too. Do we reserve the right to tell them that they cannot be married to another that they love. Isn't that why everyone else gets married? To be with the one you love for the rest of eternity? That's where i see an unjust attack on the homosexual community. They deserve the same rights everyone else does, so why deny them the happy existance of their lives, even if that means allowing them to be wed to one another.

I realize allowing gay and lesbian marriage would go against what i just stated with marriage being a sacred bond between man and woman to bear children to the world, but why seclude a large group of the world and tell them they can never be married to the one they love. That's unfair to a person. Believe it or not, all of the people of the homosexual community are human, too. They deserve the same rights and fairness as anyone else here.

So you have to ask yourself, do you deserve the right to deny someone their true happiness? Should you allow yourself to play "God" and control the lives of others?

I think i make my point.................

Well also with your bearing children thing then what about people who can't have children? There are people out there who baren but yet they still get married. Also there are hundreds of thousands of children in foster homes or orphanages that could be adopted but then there are people who say homosexual couples shouldn't raise children because then they think the children will be gay. Also there are people who say a child needs both a male and female role model if that was true then what about single parents who raise their children because that child might not have both a male and female role model does that mean that single parent should raise their own child? When it comes to parents you just need loving parents whether its a single mom/dad, both a mom and dad, or even 2 mom or 2 dads as long as the parent is loving that should be all that counts.

Sorry might have gone a little bit off topic.

There's nothing wrong with it, it's a form of love i guess. You cant just force a homosexual to start liking the opposite sex. So do what you want.

I agree with LovelyElfDeedlit, your right. These people deserve the right to engage in their love for eachother. It's still love, just with the same gender. How, in anyway is that wrong?

And sadly enough, people do hate those who are different. I don't see a world where everyones accepted. People are too clouded with ignorance hatred for no reason to understand what those who are different really are.
Personally, i support gay marriage. I have no problem with gay people getting married, and do not believe it "violates the sanctity of marriage". What violates the sanctity of marriage are the people who get married, then divorce after a week. Gay people did not choose their sexual preferences.

Sure, they should be able to marry. Why should heterosexuals be the only ones to suffer?

Honestly, I don't see why it should be any business of the government who sleeps with whom, or what sort of relationship they have with each other, as long as they are both consenting adults. If one institution doesn't want to perform a certain type of marriage, they shouldn't have to. If another says, "Fine, we'll marry you," then that's okay too.

Yiikes. Such a polarizing issue. There are no right or wrong answers... it just all depends upon viewpoint... so... yeah. Hahah... But my truthful opinion is against it. Even though 2 out of my 3 best best friends turned gay at the end of my senior year in high school (last year). Lol. Wow... that just totally rocked my world upside down... haha... I never knew a gay person (openly) until then. That was back in Oklahoma... and now that I've moved to New York, so much more diversity... it's... awesome and terrifying at the same time... muwahah. =) But yeh. yeh.

It should be right for them to marrige. Christians people sometimes goes a bit too far and other religion. Like this person example http://www.godhatessweden.com/ just because we jailed a priest 1months who said really bad things about the tsunami and said homosexual should burn in hell.

Lol! Hahah.. yeah christian people can be slightly close-minded sometimes... I was an agnostic moving into Oklahoma (part of the Bible Belt) and.. converted...
..*cough*
...to atheism. Hahah. =) But... I still think that it's merely a matter of opinion... I have my reasons for thinking that gay marriage isn't right.. but it should still be allowed... because... who are we? who are we to impede peoples' personal lives?

I am completely for homosexual CIVIL UNION..

i say civil union because of the problems that arise with the word "marriage". as TECHMAN said, a marriage is defined as a marriage b/t a man and a woman ((and does relate god)) and would be against the bible ((as some say)) to allow gays to marry under the word "marriage"...

but they are people too, and shouldn't be biased against someone just b/c it isn't THEIR OWN view... ((god basically said.. be kind to thy neighbor.. so why not let them marry ((especially since we are supposed to have seperation b/t church and state)).. they're STILL human, nothing different with our DNAs, each one is capable of the same things, both feel emotions including love... not letting them be together is cruel! how would you feel ((say in the past)) and the one you loved was a black slave and thus had to have a secret ((and in many ways)) unfufilled love, and/or be scorned, mistreated, and ridiculed by those around you? and have we not grown to accept interracial unions? why not homosexual as well?

so i believe in a civil union... it would have all the same government ties ((you're legally bound together, you get benefits, if you should die it goes to your spouse)) and the same meaning but it just wouldn't be called the same thing ((b/c of the christian standpoint ont he word marriage... granted it is a little "spereated" if each are married under a different "word" but in the end the result is the same but also lets the christians be a little happy)) so i think civil unions would be great!((and since it doesn't conflict witht eh word "marriage" i wish people could just accept it and move on >.> .. and for the people who disagree about their unions.. what does it matter if they do? doesn't affect you as a person, or your life.. and besides, do you think it's right to impose your belifs on someone to the point where they cannot have the chance to make the decision themselves? that's controlling.. O.o))

as for gay adoption. i wish that wouldn't be such a problem either >.> the parents would be extrememly loveing ((especially b/c they know they cannot have their own children)).. they would still have the go through the same process as anyother adoptive couple... ((a normal couple can be prone to fighting, alcohol, smoking, abuse... and yet we don't hold the "maybe" as a reason to not let the child go with them)).. just because the parents are gay doesn't mean the child will be; if anything the child will grow ((i think)) into a better and well-rounded person having grown up in that kind of enviornment and may be more "tolerant" then some of the traditional cihldren of the world O.o.. as for having a male and female rolemodel ((which doesn't even matter b/c there are single parents allt he time where the child would only get "one side" and still grow up just fine!)) isn't it true ((this is an assumption so i may be wrong)) that in gay and lesbian couples there is a somewhat "more masculine" partner and "more feminine" partner ((so as if one is like the "father" and one is like a "mother" is their roles O.o))?

Until it becomes the status quo, adopted children of gay couples is still going to be a problem... the child will definitely be ... "made fun of" by other children... just... I dunno. If you think about it, children are cruel. =/ But yeah... I think that this problem isn't going to be solved that easily... it's just because there's never going to be that big of a population of gay people... to influence society. To say that they're still people... is still ... treating them differently. I can't imagine some people not accepting it, though. I mean, they cannot possibly say that they have the power to dictate someone else's life. so... they can't really say that people definitely cannot be married if they're gay... just... that they have a problem with it.
