Of course, it sounds like your friend is simply referring to people that look "asian" and not including all of the various ethnicities that also live in asia, which would then be racist as opposed to a general statistic assuming the gay population is evenly distributed. I have no idea about bellybuttons though.

So okay. The topic is "my friend's opinion" but what i wanted to say was about gay guys, the other day, me and my friend were talking on the phone. And we just all of a sudden started talking about gay guys for some reason 0.o so than she said these kind of harsh things about Asians...and i was just thinking if they were may be true or not, so i need to know from you guys. Here are the two things she said or asked me.

First, she asked me "Why are the majority of gay guys are always Asian guys?" ...and it just made me get mad and to think..."wtf...how is that even the majority? and how exactly would she know?" So then she asked me another question. she asked "Why do asians always have big bellybuttons?" and so yea...

Even tho i'm Asian...but i know the majority of gay guys aren't always Asian guys! And i know that not all of us have big bellybuttons either...cuz i don't. and i'm asian. What do you guys think?

well your friend there is racist no doubt... why, isn't her country have gay people too? I'm a Flipino and I know that there are a lot of gays in our country... they dress up like girls and if they have money, they would do a sexual transplant...

but consider this, Philippines is a small country compare to the like of the countries in Europe and in the US!! One state, lets say Texas is much bigger than the Philippines!! Asian countries are mostly consist of islands and we have a small fraction of population (well at least remove China from the list)

Europeans and American has their own gay people so I think I will not put in the numbers who has more since I don't know... maybe there had been a survey made who has most gay people but I don't know and I don't wanna search it in the net

I don't know the right figures but I guess if you add China, then it would reach 60% of the population. BUT HEAR THIS China is a communist country and I think homosexual gender is prohibited there so what (from what I read before)... only a very very smalll percentage of the population of China maybe gay but they might be living in secrecy. But I will make you wrong in stating that "so 60% of the world's gay population should live there as well" because its like your saying that nearly all Asian are gay!??! WTF...

I suppose I must clarify. China and India both have a billion people. To that you add any part of russia and some former USSR satalites that are east of the Ural mountains (it doesn't matter if they look european, geographically, they are asian). Then you've got the various arabic countries in the southwest of asia. It brings it up to right around 60%, even if they are not what you consider to be ethnically asian. So to explain the simple math, if 5% of the world population is gay that would be around 300,000,000 people. So, if 60% of the world population is in asia, 60% of the gay population is in asia, or 180,000,000 gay people. A few hundred million out of a few billion is hardly saying all asians are gay. If 60% of the world's population lived in europe then I would say 60% of the gay people should live there.

Also, saying the people aren't gay because it is against the law is silly, unless you are one of those people that believe being gay is a lifestyle choice and not in any way biological. I tend to fall into the mostly biological camp myself, so being forced to marry straight doesn't make one not gay.

Lol this is quite funny to hear. Just because some asian countries (cough Japan, Thailand) are more open about gayness doesn't mean the majority of gay people are asian. Gosh, is your friend blonde or something? I've actually never seen an Asian gay before. The only gays I know of are American. Where does 75% of 60% come from? China does not have 75% of the people living in asia, it would be closer to 1/3 (for a nice fraction) so I'm just curious. Also, as I said, I'm mostly in the biological camp, so being taught to live straight and suppress one's desires because of society is fitting in, just as was, and is, done in the US by many people.
