Has anyone read Saiyuki?
Saiyuki's not my favorite, per se, but it's at the top of my list. I love all the characters and story, even if there are so many plot holes that Kazuya-sensei has yet to tie up X_x

Saiyuki was the 1st manga i read and i feel that it is ok,except it is more violent...anyway,i like the artwork of the manga and anime,compare to saiyuki reload and saiyuki gunlock( it is kindda weird ).
i like Goku, hakkai and sanzo...anyway,the 4 of them are really funny and i like the scene where goku and gojyo fight for food and get hitten by sanzo's paper fan!
wellm i even own some posters of saiyuki and i can say thet it is one of my favourites :)

Aaah! i love saiyuki... when i first saw it, i thought it was a remake of weiss... lol... anyway, i like the graphics and artwork. they're really good. and i mean GOOD. and the plot is just awesome. there's always comedy wherever you look

It's a great series. ^^ It's actually the first series that I ever bought the entire box set for (for the anime anyway). Cost me a lot of money, but it was totally worth it. +_+ At first I was skeptical about it because the art was a lot different from what I was used to, but the story took hold of me and wouldn't let go. I love it very much.

Most of my friends like gojyo...( not me..) anyway, i feel that it is hard to find saiyuki fans in my place since it is not that popular compare to other anime/manga.That's only what i think. i only got saiyuki reload that my friend burned and downloaded months ago...now,just too lazy to finished the series.by the way, i've watched gensomaden saiyuki for about 3 times...crazy...
The first time I saw saiyui,I don't think I'll love it coz it looks a little violent to me(from its cover,Reesha introduce the manga to me).After seeing the manga, it is great.I grew to love it more then I realise.

I absolutely :love: it! I haven't read the manga tough...but I've watched all the eps in the anime!! My fav character in Saiyuki is Goku! He's really cute, sweet, nice, kind, awsome, strong, & funny! I love it when he says "harahetaa~" or I'm hungry.. by the way,, I'm hungry now...^___^

Saiyuki was the first work of Minekura-sensei that I've read. At first, it was really interesting. It presents a totally new twist to the old "Journey to the West" legend (which has been overplayed much, IMO, what with all the TV series, etc.) Who'd thought Sanzo would be so..well, unlike a monk? But sadly enough, the series got repetitive as it usually does in other versions. I've stopped following up on RELOAD; I gave up after the first Saiyuki manga ended.
I REALLY LOVE saiyuki! it was my first serious obsession! XD

Hello!! I love Saiyuki!! I have all the DvDs and all the manga. I have lots of posters to. It's one of my all time fav manga and anime. My favs are. Sanzo-Homura-Merciful Goddess. Lol Goku is so cute I love him alot to. But I have to say that the dub on Saiyuki Reloaded was so bad I could not bring myself to watch it so I only read the Saiyuki Reloaded manga. It's a great series and I love the voices that ADV did for it and when it went over to Geneon for Saiyuki Reloaded they changed the voices and the new ones suck so I was really upset about that T_T. Anyway it's a great anime and manga and I still watch the DvDs all the time. My fav Ep was the is the 2ep on the first DvD it's so funny I love it. The firt DvD was the best to me. Sorry for going on about the DvDs the manga was alot more violent tho and had alot more bad words and the story was different in some of the volumes but that's what I like about it. What's the point in reading it if it's all the same. Great question sorry for going on.(*^_^*). Glad to here someone else likes Saiyuki.

Yes, it is true. The anime had to be cleaned up a bit to be able to air on TV, so the killing is more implied (in the manga, youkai get torn to pieces), and they use slightly nicer language.
Yes in the new Saiyuki Reloaded they have a totally new cast for the dubing. The voices they had before were perfect but they skrewd up and now I can't even bare to watch it. I think it's because they moved to a different distributor the first series was released by ADVfilms then it moved to Geneon for the new Saiyuki Reloaded. It really sucks I was really dissapointed. Do you watch the series?

Yes, i love saiyuki, that's so funny, all the characters, the situations made me laugh. But i don't very like her drawing style, at least it's... original. But the artbooks totally rocks, i got the backgammon remix one and it's sooo beautiful. I've watched the anime too but I prefer the manga. Ma favorite character is probably Cho Hakkai, he's handsome, quiet and soo clever.
