Hello! im new to this website and also to making wallpapers. I hope to contribute but, im not sure how to start.

So, when making a wallpaper how to you guys start? And what programs do you recomend using?
I have paintshop pro 9 and photoshop elements.

I do enjoy a wide variety of anime and such but im not sure how you guys get your images and where you get them from. If someone where to explain to me this, i would be much obliged.
