How to get started
1 Page: [ 1 ]
Okay, well, obviously, I need help. How do you make a wallpaper? What do you use? I mean, I know you need an image editing program like Photoshop and a scan but what else? Those 2 things can't be all! And can you make a wallpaper in paint shop pro? What are the basic things that you need? I have paint shop pro so I don't think I can use textures and photoshop-only stuff. So do gradient in PSP count as texture in photoshop? Brushes, do we need that? And what about the background? Like this wallpaper for example:

How do you make the trees, do you have to hand draw them or is there a trick on how.
And how do you make the lighting and the color at the bottom to be like that?
Again, I would appreciate any kind of help at all to get me started and I don't expect to get as good as the person who made the wallpaper above but I'd like to have a good start.
Thank you very very much.

Can you upload this on imageshack.us so we can see the full size
Well, I guess you need a scan, an editing program and an idea...or some inspiration...otherwise you can't do anything, don't you think?
I don't know PSP so I can't help you...
and if you need any help you have to check some tutorial guides...
that's all for me, I don't think I have anything else to say...

Session Zero is only for having your wallpapers evaluated not for asking complex questions. Asking how to make a wallpaper is like asking how to make a website. You first buy/download the tools: Photoshop, learn tutorials, have an inspiration, and just practice, practice, practice. No one is a waller firsthand. I suggest you join the wallpaper groups here at AP such as the Photoshop Lovers, The Resource Pool, to name a few. Good luck!
