Okay. This is going to be my third attempt. My other two were rejected. I have no bad feelings about this one, so perhaps that's a good sign. I'm putting it here first, of course, because I really don't need a three rejections in a row. This is my first vectored wallpaper also. Well, here 'tis:

May be continuing doing a liitle bit of things like those surrounding the character ...
Hmm.. I like the idea, but maybe not with the vibrant blue. How about grey? Or if you still wanted Fai to kinda 'pop' out of the background like he does now, try something vibrant but not eye-burning. Like.. red? I don't know, try and see what happens, I guess.

There is too much black. Maybe try to put in some colors like the red in the original scan, for example the thin red line that shows throught his clothing. Also i think that the cape looks weird at the bottom left... this is where I think that the red line will help out. I really like the blue background surrounding the character it make him stand out, but maybe do something with the black background around the blue.
The color is not that good ehough...but the image is okay...
I remember that episode..mokona's so cute...But I don't really get what he said..'No one will balme you' 'bout what?...^^'
but anyways, 'bout your wall, I think your idea's great..just have to fix some things:
bg: like they said, it's kinda plain..and I don't erally think blue-green fits it..maybe make it into a more vibrant blue..which kinda glows to add that wow feel to it..Then the black bg, maybe play with some colors, brushes, and other elements..Kinda make it abstract or simple..
Fai: Notice that the edges are blurry. And the colors superimpose each other...Make the lines more accurate , and the colors too..
Y'know, the design of Fai's clothes are beautiful in the original scan..maybe add them on your wall..

Just adding my two cents, you have to make the text more visible if you're going to keep it. i didn't even notice it until the second time i looked. try making the size a bit bigger, or putting more distance between the text and the border around fye so that it doesn't look like it's part of it. and yeah, maybe the blue-greenish color is not the best choice. it's very visible against black, but it's not very pretty. what you might want to try is instead of pure black for the background, you can make it a really dark shade of gray, like charcoal. not quite black, but close. that way, you have a bigger range of colors you can match with it. pastels look good with charcoal, for instance. (weh, i sound like an interior decorator -_-) anyway, good luck with it. it's a good start, and i think it'll turn out well with a bit of work ^_^
