This is a wallpaper I created a while back, during my Axel obsession. Most of it was experimentation in Gimp. I had once planned to do a series, with the entire Organization. So far, though, all I have done is Axel and Demyx.

I'm not really sure why you think it's blurry. Please elaborate. If you mean the texture, it's that way on purpose.

Yeah its the texture, you should take that out. Also the text dosen't fit this wall paper, I think you should choose another font. And well it just kind of looks like a screen shot with a texture over it. Maybe you could extract Axel and maybe make your own backround or put him on a stock photo and some effects. Or you could maybe vector the whole image or at least Axel and then add your own touches to it. Oh and don't forget you signature!

Texture-izing an image, limited editing, and adding text isn't going to cut it. You need a higher resolution stock of axel, a theme, etc. The goal is to make it look different.
A tip: texture throughout the entire wallpaper looks really tacky. You might do the backround in a texture, and leave Axel clean or something.

Begin with a clean and high-quality scan..Hiding the low reso. by using textures wouldn't make the cut. It's pretyy much like a printed digital wall with blurry edges..y'know..You can make it more beautiful and nice to look at with a good quality scan..
