SAMURAI CHAMPLOO: "The Bitterness of Defeat"
Credit for the original artwork (the picture of Jin) goes to saimin (thanks!), but all the rest is my own work.

SO many layers were required to create the rain effect...but anyway, let me know what you think, please!!

I really like the concept but I think the rain is too much. It washes out the actual focus of the wallpaper. I'd try fading it out so its not so apparent. You might want to try reflecting the fact that its raining on the ground and Jin as well, if possible. I can't tell if this last part is already done because the rain is washing out the image too much.

You also might try adding the chars name or the series logo or something, to spice it up a bit.

Yeah, character definately needs to be more opaque. Also, I think that tinting the rain sort of blue-ish would help with the vibe. Also, seeing as how the top is sort of empty, that would probably be the best place to put any text/logos.

Im sorry to say this but i think that the rain doesnt look much like a rain. looks more like light. in any case, i think you overdid it. the guy looks faint.
yeah the wall looks too empty... maybe you'd like to add a bloody katana beside him? bloody cloth? i don't know, i don't watch the anime...
you can adjust the lighting... try using the spotlight lighting effect. i think it'll look good.

So the theme is the rain, or the character behind it? XD

And since it's Samurai Champloo add some blood =P keke

Samurai Champloo is all about fighting isn't it (I've watched the anime) Try adding some blood and see what the result is ^^
Oh, I think icewind came up with a good idea, putting a spotlight on him ^^ Meaning hes the attention (thingy ^_^; eto..)
