I just recently got into this band called Within Temptation and the lead singer is a soprano and her voice is really pretty. They have a famous song called Angels and there's a music video on it that you can watch on youtube. I think they were classified under Gothic Rock or Metal (they didn't sound that metalish to me so I can't say I thought they were metal).
I'd recommend them to anyone who liked Evanesence. (This is just my opinion, please don't kill me for it XP)

Within Temptation is a really good band. A lot of people mistake them for Evanescence, but I think they both sound very different. Even though Amy Lee of Evanescene and Sharon den Adel of Within Temptation have similar styles and voices, if you really listen to them both, you can tell that they are original and far from each other. I personally like Within Temptation's song "Memories," as it is the song that really got me going and hooked on the band ^^
I once downloaded a eva music video that was 500mb... it was only 4 min long.... anyways thats how i found out about them, I downloaded a bunch of their songs, my favourite one would be forsaken
My favorite songs would have to be Memories, Jillian, and Aquarius. I'm so GLAD people know them because this post has been up for close to a month and no one answered. T_T I'm so glad there are fans. XD

Yes, it's true. Their voices are kinda similar, but the styles are COMPLETELY differen. Within Temptation's beat is not so heavy... It's more soothing.

I totally love within temptation. I love the voice of sharon, she is high-pitched but sweet. Her clothes are awesome, and most of their clip are really beautiful (especially memories or angel) they do a good worlk on their image and that's good.
WT is metal even if their latest album (silent force) is less 'metal' than the others, but if you listen to 'the dance' no doubt about it. My fav song are hmmm the swan song I think ^^

Yes! I love them! They are one of my favourite bands! Their style reminds me of Evanescence, which is my fav band! My favorite songs are "Angels" and "Stand my ground" :)
Yea I got a couple of their songs and they're pretty entertaining to listen to. The singer has a great pair of lungs on her and the lyrics can be quite emotive. Cam across them because of a youtube video I think...I liked the song so much I downloaded it.

WT is a dutch band oO I don't like any of their music xD They released quite a lot of tracks in the Netherlands... Ice Queen.. Mother Earth... Angels... Memories... Stand my Ground..... and some others I can't even remember >.>
