Well, for those who have not heard of this game, I will make a short and simple introduction about it. .Hack//GU is a PS2 game, it is about a character name called Haseo, who has entered 'The World' for the first time and soon found players willing to accept him into their party. After leading him to his first treasure they PK'ed [Player Killing] him, and insulted him of being a noob. The 2 players who had PK'ed poor Haseo was unaware of another player inside the same grounds and later found themselves PK'ed by that person. This mysterious person, who is called Ovan, approached Haseo and welcomed him to 'The World' Months passed by and Haseo was soon famoused for being the 'Terror of Death' a player that kills PK'ers which makes him a Player Killer Killer or PKK. He kills those who killes other players, he is strong but soon finds himself back to lvl 1...

Yup, i love this game most especially the character most hated by Hase0--- Tri-Egde or seems like Insane Kite to me..
i can't wait for the next volume, there are many things i still wanna see regarding this game and the mystery ain't solve yet although they've finished my fav--
will he be on volume 2? i mean tri-edge?

I really liked the game as well.
But I have to say that it got a little repetitive from time to time, since most figthing grounds mission goals are the same.
It was still fun leveling up the chars and I will definately play the next volume as well.
Btw: Did anyone else have a hard time finding good weapons? :P

I want the game but I heard that one voice basically ruins the game for the most point and some people are not willing to buy the next volume because of one bad voice actor. Well I still want to get it for the evil Tri-Edge. I didn't read the first thing or the other comments so I don't ruin to much for myself. Have they announced how many Volumes will come out, and how regularly they will come out yet? If you could tell me that would help.

I got Rebirth about a week ago and I already finished it. I have to say that I like how they tried a different approach with this new series. I don't like how they changed the game theme from a Celtic to a more modernized look. The battle system is much better that it was before, now you can actually block attack instead of getting hit by every attack as in the previous series. The adept rouge is really great too, being able to choose different weapons lets you adapt to your opponents. However, I was able to advance to a high level real early on in the game so none of the story opponents were all that tough, I mean even the final boss was a pushover once I reach level 50.
By the way just what the heck happened to Aura? Also does anyone have any info as to the release of Volume 2?
I only know they are going to have three volumes, no idea when they are gonna come out though.

As a .Hack fan I was happy for new games, the plot is these game is so different from other RPGs and has had quite a good run. I also can't wait to see when Vol. 2 gets released.

Sorry about the previous posting I mean that volume to should get released sometime in February and volume three will most likely be released sometime in May. If it follows the pattern that they did with the volume one release, which is about a five month time span between the Japanese release and the U.S release.
I played this game, and i have finished this game.
It's an improvement from the previous .hack. I like the battle system, but compared to the previous .hack games, it's lack of playable characters (for now).
Just like .hack series, in anime and games. The stories always connected each others and complicated for sure. I haven't watch the anime .hack//ROOTS, and i really dunno what happen in the anime. But yeah, if you want to enjoy the .hack stories, you must follow the anime, or the other sources.

I only seen about one episode of Roots and that was by acident when I stayed up till 4:00 AM one night. I mean like who in the hell is going to wake up that early to watch a show, why dosn't stupid cartoonnetwork change the time it plays. If you didn't watch the Roots series it still is not all that confusing you just have to think a little bit. Playing the first four park hack game series should clear some things up as well.

I doubt .hack//GU will get a UK look in, I liked the .hack games for a while, then they got repetetive and boring, ive heard .Hack//GU is pretty much the same.
.hack//GU unfortunately still has a repetitive gameplay, in the sense that the area missions never change, and there are only three area types in the first volume.
I haven't heard any official news on the release of Vol. 2, so I wouldn't throw around any dates unless you have proof.
But yes, I have been enjoying the new .hack game. I've been able to watch .hack//Roots and have thoroughly enjoyed it; in fact, I watched most of Roots before seeing anything about .hack//GU. I really want to see what happens to Shino, I love her so!

Not trying to throw around a date I was just guessing off of the release of the first installment. Because there was a five month gap in the release of the Japanese version and the U.S. version, sorry if I confused anyone. Indeed this is not official in anyway.
No need for apologies; just don't want to give anyone false hopes. I've already seen a lot of people around the net giving out false release dates. But of course guessing is always open. ^_^
