So who else besides me thinks Guitar Hero is a really fun game?

I love to play Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart by The Stone Temple Pilots. Dead! by My Chemical Romance is always fun too.


Also, can't wait till GH3 comes out! Not so sure about Rock Band though.

GH for the Xbox 360. FTW. I played that all last night to beat it on hard. Uhm, I definitely like playing Jessica, by The Allman Brothers. Probably my favorite song right there. I like YYZ, by Rush too.

I have GH2 for PS2. My girlfriend was telling me how stupid it was when we driving to the video game store to get it. Now I can get her off the game!! I like playing the Lamb of God song, it's a lot of fun, fast and furious! Rawr!

I have Guitar Hero 2 for the Xbox 360 and my favorite song to play is Dead by My Chemical Romance. I can easily play it get 95% on hard and get a 80% on Expert.

I had it for the 360 and liked playing Hangar 18 by Megadeth, Jordan by Buckethead, The Light that Blinds by Shadows Fall, Thunderhorse by Dethklok, and most of all....TROGDOR! by Strong Bad.

I can five star most of the songs on expert, except for Jordan. I draw the line there, so I sold it.

Besides, the game sucks when the 360 controller is too small. My hands are too big for the neck of the guitar ~!!

Well I only played it once but I have to say I don't really like the game. Its different but just not interesting. This is one of those games that is fun to play with a bunch of friends but otherwise its quite boring, kind of like mario party. It is fun but a little childish for most of the part.

GH2 I heard was rather bad, except for the XBox 360 version that had downloadable content. Anyways, GH1 was much better, I played it for 6 months, beat the game w/5 stars on every song except the last 5 [Expert]. Did anyone else find "Cowboys from Hell" EXTREMELY difficult? After beating that song the rest seemed way too easy. Fun game none-the-less. Would recomend it to anyone looking for a different type of gameplay.

I really enjoyed Guitar Hero 1 a lot, specially because of its really excellent musical selection, including stuff from master Jimi Hendrix. One of the best musical games I've played in some time, spite of being hard to play ^^u

Guitar Hero 2 featured practically the same gameplay, but it's not as good, specially because the musical selection isn't that good. Not bad, but it's inferior to Guitar Hero 1, to be honest.

I badly want to get this game for my 360. When 3 comes out I'm going to definetly get it!

Some of my favorite songs on GH2 are The Light That Blinds by Shadows Fall, Jordan by Buckethead, Freebird from Skynard and Beast and the Harlot by A7X. Freebird on expert is so hard though.

You guys suck. :D Expert? Hard? *humble bows* Just kidding--I'm impressed, because I suck at this game...well...I don't as much as I suck at first-person shooters. I have completed it on Easy, though.

On my wife's last day at EB games, I was in the store and decided to try GH2. I was hooked instantly. Mind you, it was quite a scene seeing a 230 lb., blue-haired freak pounding away at it while holding the guitar like I was getting ready to do dynamic combat house clearing with a battle rifle (ha-ha).

Friday evening, I bought the game for my XBOX 360 Elite and proceded to rip through the game for 4 hours straight. WHAT A FAWKING WORKOUT! The next day, my calves, legs, forearms, and hands were as sore as if I've been trying to lift weights. Being a glutton for punishment, I did the same Satuday night for about 5 hours (alcohol helped!).

My favorite tunes are:
1) Cherry Pie (underage girl theme song--LOL)
2) Carry on My Wayward Son (70's rock WAS THE BEST EVER!--I remember '77-'79)
3) The Trooper (Iron Maiden will always rule)
4) The song by the Butthole Surfers (Shit! I turned up the volume until my ears bled--classic thrash from my early college days)
5) Psychobilly Freakout (WTF? I want to see someone play that on Expert!)

I know there are other songs, but I haven't unlocked them yet as I'm still a Newb. Speaking of which, I have some questions:
1) I'm having problems with chords. What is the best way to hit/approach them?
2) How do you best place your fingers on the buttons?
3) When you hit the strum bar, should you learn to tap down and up or just tap down?
4) Star Power: I've gotten the "all blue" buttons on some easy songs but I'm not sure what I'm doing. Can someone explain it more? Do I need to elevate the guitar when hitting the bar?

PS: If only this game had T&A like the best game ever, Dead or Alive Extreme 2, I'd be on the "Stairway to Heaven"--pardons to Led Zepplin.

UPDATE: I'm plodding through Medium, but it ain't pretty. I'm having some serious issues going from one side of the fret to the other. What am I missing?

O, and I got that song "Six" by All That Remains (metal rulz!), but I can't play it on Easy! How in the hell would anyone play it on Hard or Expert?
