What series got you into anime?
I watched a lot of anime when I was little (Saint Seiya, Dragon Ball, Ribbon no Kishi, etc...) but back then I didn't know what anime was. Still, those kind of animation series were my favourite.
Shojo Kakumei Utena was the anime that got me hooked into anime when I grew up.
Although I'm more a manga fan; I was into manganime after buying Sailormoon.

Sakura Wars and Rurouni Kenshin were the ones that got me back into anime. I've watched others like Sailor Moon before but it never got me all passionate about it like Sakura Wars and Rurouni Kenshin until today.
I remmeber that Pokemon, Digimon and Dragonball Z started it all, but also Sailor Moon, Beyblade and Sakura Card Captors played a big part in it you know kids stuff ^^ i only found out about anime when I was 11 lol

The serie that got me into anime was Meitantei Conan. i watched anime before like slam dunk and tsubasa but i learned the true meaning of anime with meitantei conan. :)
Lol..i don't remenber that kind of things...when i was a kid i watched saint saiya & Dragon ball on tv...but after that i don't remenber that i watched anything for years...on a dvdshop i found evangelion and buyed all the dvds..(spanish version damn you, they make me waste my money on a dvd with low quality) (well i buyed it cuz i watched the opening searching for hentai...XDD)
but well..i think the first one that catch me again into anime was vampire hunter D...after that blood the last vampire and evangelion...don't remenber what got me into anime again after that
but well after re-watch evangelion almost each week at least 1 time a few years back my brother start saying that i should watch naruto...well i already watched anime from internet back then but i don't remenber exactly what was the first folder on "series" created...
but well..i think the first one that catch me again into anime was vampire hunter D...after that blood the last vampire and evangelion...don't remenber what got me into anime again after that

Let's see. The first anime i probably ever watched would be pokemon. I saw a number of diffrent ones when i was smaller aswell. Well parts of animes anyway. Dragonballz and Dragonball GT were my favorites at the time.
The first time i ever watched an anime and knew it was an anime (and my first anime in japanese) was when a friend told me that his friend had given him a DVD with something called anime. He said it was about some sexy robots with weird ears or something like that. So i was like ok what?!? Anyway he invited me over so i watched the first episode of Chobits. After i saw the first episode i was emmidiatly hooked. I took home the DVD and watched multiple episodes.
So you could say Chobits kind of started it for me. The real kick of though, was when i was looking for some small clips of ecchi. I then stumbled accross an anime named Green Green. It is an extremly perverted anime but it isnt quite hentai. That really kicked it off for me though. After green green i went looking for other kinds of animes and wallpapers etc.

Sailor Moon, Pokemon, and DBZ were my first ones ^^
As I remember the first was Dragon ball. I was like manga more than anime a lot. But when I came to USA,
Manga's very expensive(if compare with my hometown) and old or very old. I try to find some anime instead

The first make me addicted was FMA. That was awesome anime.
And then I try One piece (even I've read already). This anime is good than manga. I really like their opening song.

Yeah I used to watch Sailor Moon XD. I think I saw a couple episodes of Astroboy once too. The thing that got me hooked on anime though was GITS. I watched part of one of the movies in a drawing class then I discovered the tv show on adult swim and started watching the other shows they played too.
GTO, Hunter x Hunter and Naruto.
The first anime.... was pokemon......then digimon......but then again, I recently realised that I actually watched anime when I was about 6 or 7...... that time, I think I watched Akazuki ChaCha and Sailor Moon....
My first Anime was Dragon Ball but the anime that got me in the anime was Card Captor Sakura ^^
