Do you feel like emotions actually move the world?
Do you feel like without emotions we are just animals?

If you feel that there is something in our heart that moves us to do what we do everyday, and makes us be what we are nowadays, if you feel that our heart is not just a simple organ but something beyond that could hold the secret of our existence, our motivation for living, loving and being, you are part of a selected few that can translate actions into emotions.

So, I invite you to share your emotions and actions.
We are not just human beings, we can feel the enviroment with our hearts, we can feel each others feelings, we have a emotive human spirit.

Feelings themselves do play a huige part in what we do and how we do it. But the sense that it comes from the heart, is just that. A sense..The sub-conscience is a very powerful and hugley misunderstood state of mind. It's oiur subconcience that makes it feel like an emotion from the heart. As with stress, fatigue, hunger, and of the like. As for the role emtions have to play in our lives, yes I think they do have a big role.

Of course you may think about science and realize emotions are just quimical functions in our brains. You may realize that we can feel a variety of feelings, and that we can choose some, like seeking someone to love. If you find someone you feel atracted with, you will start to fell in love and feel it inside of you.

When we think about a quarrel with someone, we may feel sad about it. In simple words, it's possible to choose some feelings.

Despite that, our neural functions holds our feelings. When you suffer you create a feeling inside your brain by your neural functions. When you suffer the situation again, the same feeling will come to you. What's interesting is that we never forget strong new emotions, because they shatter old structural funtions in our brains and create new ones.

At this point, I can say that we all are addicted to some sort of feelings. Our body get addicted when we feel the necessity of feeling something, like loving. Everybody is addicted to love, although we feel lonely.

There're also some sort of feelings that can prejudice us, and we get addicted to them. But we have the possibility to choose not to feel them by simply finding a way to overcome it with a good feeling.

On the other hand, leaving the scientific point of view aside, we can feel strongs feeling inside our heart, and we all base our movements in what we are feeling. I do not mean taking decisions about accounting by your heart, but about what will make you happy living your life. The one who just live mathematicaly, simply do not know why life is so great living.

Quoting Jonny Walker, a robot once said: "I just want to know how is to feel like...", reminding us how important is just to feel, what simple machines cannot have.

I don't believe emotion is what separates us from animals. I believe emotions are what separates us from what is dead and lifeless. If one is incapable of feeling emotion, then I pity thee for your heart is dead.

I feel as though emotions truly play a large role on the things that we do and the things that we say to each other. I'm grateful that we have emotions, and if we didn't have any emotions at all, everyone would probably be the same as everyone else. For example, someone may become offended by a coment that is made. Others may laugh at what is said. There are also those that probably become sad as someone else would insult another person. Without these emotions, I feel as though there won't be as many problems in the world, yet there would always be something missing. If someone were to die of a disease for instance, no one would mourn over the person and they would probably forget about the person that died. I think that without emotions this world would be a terrible place. No one would be happy, concerned, or anything of the sort.

I agree emotions themselves do not separate us from animals. We must realize that is our capability to turn actions into emotions or vice-versa. My dog feels quite a lot of things for me, it looks like it cares about me, worries about its space...if I shout with it, it becomes sad...

These emotions are similar to human way of feeling, although there are plenty of another feelings among this. It's not just feel sad about something like a animal. We are able to understand why we are feeling sad, an animal cannot.

People who usually suffer a tragedy in their lives change their life style. When a child does not understand something wrong she might did, it is because we were not able to make her understand the feeling inside the atitude. It's useless trying to make the child understand the reasons, we can just teach her bad and good feelings.

Understanding how we react to the emotions and act on them is part of understanding our own nature. Some people tend to be more logical than emotional, but not for that we're gonna say they are heartless.

To me emotions comes from the brain not the heart. I never got why people tend to put everything on the heart. Anways Emotion does play a big part in some peoples lifes others not so much. Without emotions i think it would be like living a non existant world since you can't feel anything around you. You can not connect to what ever it is your try to connect to.

Emotion is a huge part me of me since its what inspires me to draw or do artwork. also its what got me into philosophy. Sometimes emotions are what makes our movements or judgement so they can get in the way of times.

I sometimes wonder, but as would HP Lovecraft's classic tale "The Silver Key" written in the 60s, he would describe a man as a mask.

Why so?

You can see, the human mind is capable of emotions, and that it sometimes lead to better things, through fantasies and all that is around you that infleunces the mind.

I came upon the thought taht mankind without emotions is like animals, but that is not true, because animals too feel pain and emotions, take a look at the legendary dog, Akita or something like that, who stayed by his master's side, till the day he died, and even stayed there after he did, a dog that knows how to visit its master's grave? I call that loyalty, and that is an emotional effort.

I come upon thinking our heart is of course, just an organ, thinking comes from the mind, but one can never say it is always logical, for that, you follow your heart.

Without our emotions there musnt had so much wars in the past but without emotions people can be more cruel then we want to.

What we can also think about war I will describe as following:

Once human spirit got tainted with the feeling of vanity, the capitalism possibilties to foment the "ego" got incredible proportions. In simple talking, we should realize that people have different culture and ways of thinking, and also brain capacity. If everyone could realize that one of the most important thing in this world is to make life possible, a lot of problems would be solved.

When we give a person the power to rule some peace of land, people and culture, and this person do not have the ability of leadership or was not prepared with properly studies, this person government will certainly be like he govern his own thoughts. It is the different brain capacity of people that led us to war, because of the bad feeling that is processed in the brain of the "rejected" person. This person will probably feel discriminated and will begin a rebellion inside his head, what can led to set up a group...

Feelings has aways fomented war. They have been used by distorted logic in people's low brain capacity as a excuse to war. That why we must cultivate good feelings. If a person is not able to compreend the reason, at least he can compreend the feeling, and maybe one day he can compreend the importance of making life possible.

Emotive spirit? True...

Its true that we have an emotive spirit which is further nourished
through our interaction with out indigenous surroundings... Each one of
us live in different places and believe in so many different things
and so our emotive spirits are different respectively... I this world,
was is inevitable, with all the diversity in beliefs and introspection...

arthurgomes, I follow everything you say, but then cultivating good
feelings might not be possible for everybody. There are those who
have experienced too much to be able to do so. And moreover, war
is a battle of man vs. self, survival of the fittest, which does satisfy
with our identity as "animals"... It is inevitable...

Ah, but does logic not start wars?

Not true, because you can't say for sure there is a certain logic that defines and defies all other logics.
I can tell you that, there is more than one way to skin a cat, you would say that which way is better, according to logic, version 1 is better method, I would say two.

We are arguing logically, yet if somehow weapons are involved, we might start a war, and even though it was a perfectly logical situation to happen, since we are arguing with weapons at our disposal, the outcome is less than logical.
