Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

I have to be honest, I sometimes prefer the dubbed versions of anime series. Its easier to understand the series when its dubbed, but I do agree that dubbed versions do have alot of problems.

Don't get me wrong, I also enjoy the subbed versions of anime, but sometimes I find that I tend to be reading more than actually watching the show...its kind of distracting.

what do y'all think?

I usually like subbed better, because it closer to the original text/dialouge, like they'll use -chan etc. Also, some of the dubbed voices can be annoying (I'm looking at you Inuyasha >_>)

I like subbed versions, but i hate having to read the subtitles. . . half of them dont appear long enough for me to read (especially the notes that pop up at the top)

second, i miss the action when im trying to read the subtitles

third, i cant remember what characters say cause i learn practically nothing from reading; only hearing and seeing

I prefer subbed but as everyone else has stated, you miss out on a lot trying to read the subtitles. I also spend half my time rewinding back on parts I missed out like funny actions, and little things that by only watching you can catch. And also, subbed versions of new/released anime come out before the dubbed versions, so I can watch anime before most of my friends do.

I prefer the dubbed version, because like people have said, you spend more time reading that watching with subs.

Sometimes, for series I really like, I watch both the sub and dub just get both experiences. I just watch the dub first so I already know what happens and I can concentrate on the subtitles.

Definately subbed... Most dubbed versions to me kill the anime. (usually the voice actors and actresses arent too great) and at the same time i usually learn a few words.

I definitley like subbed better...Even things that I originally watched dubbed when I had the chance I would watch with subtitles and I found that I enjoyed it much better...in my opinion the translation is much better because you don't have to worry about mouth movements and things like that, plus the voice actors seem to fit the characters so much better with the original cast then with the English version. Still, some stuff dubbed is allright...I find Ed in Cowboy Bebop to be much more amusing when she's dubbed just 'cause her voice inflections and the things she says seem much funnier in English :3

I like both.. but when I buy dubbed ones, I find that I usually watch the original Japanese with subtitles more as some of the dubbed voices just suck.

I don't see why I should have to choose between them, personally. If the dub is good, I'll watch it. If there are Japanese seiyuu I really like in the show, then I'll see it subbed instead. If I love the series to pieces, then I'll watch it dubbed & subbed.
