Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

I think it's a great anime, but you need to be really smart to completely understand it, especially the end. I love Re-l Pino and Vincent and those weird episodes where you can´t understand anything but everyone acts like everything is normal.

The series was decent imo.

It does try to ask a few complicated questions but to me they were simple just worded as if they were deep.

The action in the series was pretty decent too, especially when the Proxy's were fighting.

I've seen a few episodes of ergo proxy but to tell you the truth, i couldn't really get completely into it... It was a little slow paced for me but it could have just been those first few episodes that basically set up the main feel of the anime that I caught. those first few episodes usually are kind of slow.
The visuals were interesting... again though, they didn't draw me in to much. the dark overtones of almost every frame are a bit overbearing I suppose, but its that kind of anime that calls for it I suppose. Hehee

I think it's a good anime if you have patience and if you are one of those people that are into philosophy and question things about life and how we perceive our reality.
Not your action packed save the world anime... im only on episode 10 still...

I first watched it on WOWOW and I didn't understand it much because it was in Japanese. But since I like the opening song so much, I continued to watch it. Fortunately, the subs came out and I finally understood the series.

Ah, love Ergo Proxy! The mysterious-ness of it and everything, except for some episodes where it didn't have ANYTHING to do with the story line. For instance the part of Pino's wonderland or something. I think it was because the manga didn't have a lot of it? Who knows.
Oh, you like Re-al, eh. I love Ergo Proxy most! Hoho! He's just so enticing. A really good mixture of mystery and dark value(the series). Oh, and have you noticed, that some parts are actually funny? Despite its dark parts, it really is quite cute at some parts. Especially the part where Pino imitated Real of scolding Vincent and about the pimple; "Wah, nani, kore?!", hoho. ^o^. Those are one of my favourite parts. ^-^.

I also noticed that Real actually isn't the VERY spoilt type. It's just that she's a little, how to say... Um, nevermind. You know, she was a little different after the part where they were stuck out in the place without any wind blowing. ^-^.
All in all, it rocks, especially the big smiling clown, Ergo Proxy! ^o^.

That episode was actually a "fight" with another Proxy.

Exactly... like the Jeopardy episode... each proxy has what I would call, its own realm. They modify it as they like. Thats something that makes the show a lot more interesting

I was saddened when I found out they only had 23 episodes and no movieP(T_T) emoticon
Ergo Proxy's costume is one of the best designs I have seen. He's anime's Phantom from Phantom of the Opera..
I write short science fiction stories and after watching this anime, I got so many ideas in my head for my stories. It's always another planet this, or outer space that, or another galaxy here. But with Ergo Proxy, it was all on earth, in the future and the thing that really stood out the most was how dark this anime was. The only colorful objects in the series were the eyes. The lives shown in the anime were those similar to people who lived in the dark ages. The other thing I loved was the translations at the end of the episodes where detailed information was given out such as the use of Ralph 124C 41+ in Re-L's blood analysis or the Cogito virus from "Cogito ergo sum. Truly Amazing..
