The theme's random, just trying to draw some original characters for my forum fellows without the look of any anime/manga characters. I wonder if pencil drawings are appreciated here...

Your drawing is pretty~~What is that man hold is his hand(2nd picture)?

His tie... guess it's too blur... sigh.

Of course hand drawing is appreciated here.
Moreover, your sketches are very nice. You must be very experienced in making sketches.
Can you edit it by using photoshop? it must be nice to see an CG version of these sketches.
I wonder if you're a mangaka or not, 'Coz you're looked like a mangaka.

Those are great drawing, here are some mistake that i see.

The first picture: the character is not proportioned right, it has around 10 heads, 8 is enough, however i seen a artist deliberately using more. The head is not in the middle and more in the left side, and the guitar's case shadows seems wrong.

I loved the second one, no error got my attention.

Hahaha... i prefer 9 ~ 10. And the I didn't plan to draw the shadow...

As sketches, they're just fine. The first one, Im guessing he has baggy pants? but the only thing, is that since you enjoy such tall characters, you better consider what they're wearing. Most overly tall characters are VERY slim in the arms and legs so that their heads don't look too unproportional or small in comparison. It may also help if his head was more "long" rather then short and wide.

I do like the second. he looks angry.. which makes me wonder if he is attempting to choke himself? O_o.. 2 things to think about with the tie. the lines b/t the hand and tie's knot are straight, which means that he's pulling the tie and it's taunt, except that the knot is not being raised to his neck and just sits gently against his chest. if he's just "holding it up", then there should be some slack in the tie, and the lines b/t the knot and hand should have a slight curve to show he's not holding it taunt.

It won't be a sword, will it??......
