FF:AC
What do you think about FF:AC? is it a must see movie? What do you think about its ending? do you have any arguments about anything?
AC IS AWESOME! I think that if you really enjoyed the game, the movie is a must. If you haven't, I think the movie is still a must just to appreciate the incrediable graphics. The ending was pretty good. It kind of finished it all off, made a nice clean ending to an excellent story.
Advent Children was indeed excellent, and not just because it was pretty and exciting. It actually had a good plot. to quote a friend:
"I actually really liked AC. What Jenova was is fully explained in the actual game so that's why they didn't spend much time on it. They just assume everyone who watches will have played some. Geostigma is the disease caused by the Planet seeking revenge on all the people involved in the original Reunion in the actual game and those who were exposed to Jenova through the Lifestream during the present day (and since in the end of the game, the Lifestream rose up from around the Planet to cover Midgar so as to ward off Meteor, most people infected with Geostigma are in the city and surrounding area). In the game, the people involved in Reunion were exposed to Jenova's cells due to experiments carried out by the Shinra Company and were all branded with a number. Red Xi was part of the series, but they didn't expose him for some reason or the cells didn't take to his body. They never explained in the game. Anywho, the reason the Planet is so pissed, is because Jenova was involved with the calling of Meteor, which almost destroyed the Planet.
Now as for Kadaj and the gang, those three were sort of like projections of Sephiroth's spirit created by the cells of Jenova that got into the Lifestream at the Northern Crater. More specifically, they were imbodiments of Sephiroth's desire to get a hand on Jenova so he could go find his Promised Land again, like in the game.
As for the core of the movie, it's actually more about Cloud forgiving himself than this whole Reunion thing. It's fun watching the movie over again when you actually know that the wolf is representative of Zack being with him and checking out all the places it pops up. The wolf is *always* where Aeris's symbols were too. Even the first time when the wolf is sniffing around Zack's sword, there were flowers near the sword at some point as well. I think this movie effectively killed all Cloud/Aeris-shippers who understood all the symbolism and crap and even some who didn't when Cloud called Aeris 'Mother' XD And hard-core FFVII freaks, like myself, remember that Aeris told Cloud she used to date Zack AND later on in Gonganga village, Zack's parents tell us he wrote home about her XD I'm pretty sure that Aeris only stopped dating him because Zack disappeared (the Nibelheim incident) if you look at how that letter was one of the last they got from Zack."
The person I quote really says it best, but they're not here to say it themselves.

I rarely watch any movie more than once (the only exception was The Matrix), but i watched this 3 times almost in a row! I enjoyed it everytime... its simply that good
It's not a bad movie.. But it's not the best either.. Indeed, the graphics was great (wish the remake of FF7 in PS3 looks just that great...) But i dont like the movie so much.. I don't know why...

The story was meh. It was basically all visual. Tied up some loose ends, made some more. Overall good, not great.

Advent Children was AMAZING! The soundtrack rocks, the art is beautiful, and the storyline was so unique. I'm so happy the CG artists who did AC did the opening for Kingdom Hearts II^^

Yeah, FF7 AC was great! I think this is the best move from Square-Enix in year 2005, since they didn't really make some good moves in gaming last year.
FF7 AC gave us some pack of great CG animation and sounds. Too bad the story doesn't really good. And since FF7 has so many mysteries to solve, but the movie doesn't give us even a clue to reveal those FF7's mysteries.
But FF7AC still a recommended-to-watch movie.

Great movie although its not the 'its worth dying for' movie that a lot of people was harping on about.

After the FF:spirits within .i wasnt expecting much from this but as it turns out this is a gem of a movie ..certainly the best CG movie IMO.
I must say
Excelent at a technical level... simply good as a movie... I could live if I hadn't seen it.
