I like this game, heck I even start collecting the series. Too bad I start at PSX in Star Ocean 2 and 3. My favorite character is ashton - he is so funny!

I've played through both The Second Story and Till the End of Time. I can't wait for tri-Ace to get done with it's Valkyrie Profile addiction to start on Star Ocean IV, or possibly (hopefully >_>) port Star Ocean and/or Star Ocean: Blue Sphere to the PSP or something.
As far as favorites go, I enjoyed SO3's battle system more, and my favorite character would either be Maria or Mirage. I wasn't incredibly fond of most of SO2's characters. Then again, I probably ended up with one of the worst teams you could manage, so that might explain it.

TTEOT starts cool and original, but ends very frustrating and bad imo. I didn't really like it.

My favorite character was Alfred(I think its been like a year since i played) Cause his attacks were constant where you could use them over and over again.

Albel is the best, hands down. His badass style made me fall in love with him instantly. Other then that, I like Fayt.
Yep, I sure do like this game quite a lot actually. It's one of my best. Its story, the graphics, the characters, especially Cliff lol, he is my top favourite! he got a good humour and great magic as well. Like, his hammer of might:P Sophia is of course one of my favourite as well(I am a girl..lol), she is so cute;) and she has a lot of great magic spells as well. Fayt of course, since he is the main character. He is good, pretty cute. And he has many good magics as well, I don't remember many now, something about Dimension ...? but his last ones are pretty great. Maria's last magics rock lol, though I never used her a lot. But my three most favourite would be Cliff , Fayt and Sophia;)

Dimension door = ownz Hahahha Yeah it kinda cheating it's so strong without. By the way Ashton is in Star OCean 2 the two headed dragon. Don't make me feel old because I played part 2
Welll, if we're talking favorite characters, I'd say Sophia Esteed myself. ^-^ Yes, I do rather like this game. One of my favorite PS2 RPGs for sure.
Albel is my favorite. I got him too strong and I killed Luther in his second form in five hits. His Palm of Destruction did 99,999. That's the only move I use now. There's no reason to use anything else. My other favorite would probaly be Maria.
Honestly, I was expecting better from tri-Ace, though I'm hoping they'll redeem themselves with Silmeria. Anyway, my favorite character was the final boss, due to the character's excellent voice actor's work; in my opinion the only well-acted character in the game.
Though, in the end, I can't honestly say I'm a fan of the multi-ending games. There just seems to be too much of a disconnect between the player and the story when they don't focus on the arcs.

Any of you guys acually beat freya? I remember i stopped playing after like 120+ hours and i still couldn't beat her even with ultimate weapons(meaning 9999atk) and being level 200.

Yes, I beat her solo with Nel at level 160 on 4D. Took me ~45 minutes or longer. Kind of forgot.
