Greater exposure!
We have noticed a lot of wallers are trying to tactically submit their wallpapers so they receive more exposure...
To help all wallers get better exposure to their wallpapers, no matter what time of the day they submit them we will now have wallpapers under the 'Latest Wallpaper' section of the front page for a minimum of 24 hours, no matter how many wallpapers are submitted you will get a full days exposure!

I was hoping for something like this since sometimes some walls are only exposed for 1 or 2 hours and not too many people see them, and there are some that are exposed for one day or more ^^

I think this is a fantastic idea Bantam! It annoyed me that some walls slipped by quickly and others got two days exposure depending on when you submitted your wall. This will relieve many people here at AP and give some walls that should have gotten more attention the response they deserve.

Smart move; though i think along the "great exposure" line of thinking AP should have a larger highlight section (ie: one that isn't confined to one wall on the sidebar) - there's far too many talented artists here going greatly unnoticed :o.
Having more than one Highlighted slot means having to relocate the Highlighted Wall to another location. This reduces viewer exposure (as well as first time hits) and makes it less special (which reduces viewers' inclination to actually check out the wallpaper). The current setup ensures that the Highlighted wallpaper is viewable in any subforum and guarantees maximum exposure, which is the reason for the Highlighted slot in the first place.
For me personally, if a wallpaper is only gaining marginal increase in attention despite being highlighted for over a few days, that means the Highlight feature is not doing what it's supposed to do because it is no different from non-Highlighted wallpapers and sometimes worse off than other wallpapers which are not in the Highlighted but has attracted more attention.
Anyway, the issue of Highlight is off-topic and has no relevance in this thread.

Wow the site has gotten really long lol I doubt that there will be many people who will go all the way down when they could click one button to see all the new works

Hey umm..idk what to say about the "exposure" thing...I mean,don't people upload the walls when they think they really finished them...and the USA alone is 5000 km big XD.....But,on the other hand,I guess you guys know best,so I'll trust you and not ask how&why,coz eventually,your decision is GOOD *thumbs-up ;) *

The only problem I see with this is making sure that the home page doesn't get incredibly long if we have a surge of wallpaper entries.
