Would You Like Water Or Coke?
Water, even before reading your post. I never really liked soda because the acids are strong and I knew that it weakens your bones and lower your calcium.
People always look at me like I'm crazy when I say I drink about a gallon and a half to three gallons of water a day.
My aunt told me a couple days ago that it's recommended you drink at least half of your body weight in ounces of water a day. I drink more than double that.
I rarely ever have soda. After having braces for over four years, I haven't really gotten back into drinking anything with carbonation anymore. Sure, maybe one soda a day or every other day, but I drink far more water than that.
So I'd say water. Drink it in moderation too...or else you'll suffer from my problem of having to pee every 30 minutes.

I drink too much water. I probably drink as much as Miroku. I suffer from the pee every 30 minute syndrome.
I drink both, i drink 2l of coke in one day, but drink 2l of water every day too. XD
PEPSI!

and beer for other ocasions!

I never drink water or coke, for some reason I never liked water since I was little and coke has (just like all those other sodas) way too many bubbles for me (and I hate bubbles).
That's why I only drink juices and that's fine with me.

acctually I like coke when I was in my younger age..but now..it was odd that I rarely drink coke..and kinda..don't like it..I chose water cause it cleanse the body..and its really good..doesn't give any bad effects on the body..does help my lips not to be dry..

I prefer orange juice. I drink Dr. Pepper or Pepsi occasionally, but not a lot. More of a Gatorader when I'm on the go.
Water is ESSENTIAL. You can't live without drinking water. You can go about a month without eating anything (without food the body will burn up the glucose and glycogen in your body [whatever was left from your last meal] then move onto most of the fats before burning off protein [your muscles as primary sources] then burn the rest of your fats then everything else in your body). But you can only live a week at most without water.

Mcz, while you have most of your facts right, one of them isn't so true.
In the most extreme conditions, the human body can go at best three days without water.
In moderate conditions, five. A week though, never. It isn't even possible, unless you drink your own urine.
Good to hear altjai, good to hear that I'm not alone.

I drink water after workouts. Diet sodas are generally better too. But it is not as deadly or hazardous as you might think. Too much water will kill you too, just like soda. But juice actually has about the same sugar content as soda, so it contributes greatly to diabetes contrary to popular belief.
I hardly ever drink coke anymore anyway, but these facts are terrifying. i've heard the coke facts before, but not the water facts. I never knew water was THAT important. I knew it made up a lot of percentage of my body, but WOW. I always HAVE to order water anyway, cause my mom's are such a cheapass, but i guess its all good for me =] . ..does anyone know the facts about Dr.Pepper or Root Bear...?
Actually, whether I read this or not, I'd still choose water. Why? Because ever since I was born, my mother never gave me coke, pop, soda's or anything. So now when I try to drink pop and stuff,... well,... I can't... to many bubbles and fizzy! NoooO! I'm just not used to it. But I gotta drink more water... tea counts, right? ^__^;

It all depends. If I was wandering the dessert for 6 days, I'd ask for water. If I was in my fav burger joint, a coke. Which do I prefer in taste? You can't compare. Coke is a delish treat that everyone, except those pepsi lovers (grr!) love. Water, its so moist and satisfying. It is the taste of life itself. When I go to resturants, I order Coke with a lemon wedge and a water. Always. Its my thing. But I get the balance. I think I'm going to go get some water now.. I feel thirsty.
The facts scare me, but I have been drinking water just 'cause all soda tastes only like sugar.
