Clothes...shoes...etc..-_-;
I'm just curious on how much people spend on clothes...
i barely bought any clothes for the past few months... actually in fact... last month was the first clothes i bought in like 7 months.
compared to my lil bro... he spends like .. $50 for shoes every month online...
and my friends spend like about $200 per month~~
thats so much money ~~
Is it necessary for people to actually follow fashion trends? Or to get new clothes every few weeks/months when your older clothes are still in good condition?

I buy clothes probably once or twice a year, and even then I don't spend much.

I spend as little as I can on clothes, but you need to get something you like and feel good wearing.
I couldn't care less about shoes or clothings, i'm not into fashion...
I wear what I feel like... and don't spend much on clothing, I just buy
new clothes/shoes whenever they are to small or i seriously need some new clothes ^_^

The only type of clothes I would buy at the moment, are Sports Clothes. I love wearing muscle shirts. My latest Sports Sneakers from Nike cost around 60 Euros. I bought'em before I went to Thailand where I'm staying right now.
Every two three month i go to the mall and spend about $700.00 on cloth not on shoe yet. On shoe i somtime spend about $300.00. I just buy what ever i like.
Hmmmm--I probably spend about 50-100 every two to three months on clothes and shoes. I have to wear specific clothes for work so I have to keep things updated and not wear them if they get stained or something which they often do since the place I work also has a lot of stuff to get messed up and work clothes arent the best material for not getting permanant stains. As far as when I am off though I dont spend much on clothes because I generally wear something until it is worn out, except maybe my running shoes. My sister though spends like $300 a month on clothes at the mall and she is a goth clothes horse-especailly since she has a uniform to wear like 6 days a week so she doesnt need to wear her goth clothes until she is off.
I usually going shopping mainly at the begining of the year. After that its at the end of the year...and then occasionally in bettween... Sometimes I spend (well my parents spend) over 100 or for that month. Shoes are notmally 50-70 dollars...and...umm...I think thats all ^_^
On the occasionally times...when I see somethign its sometimes around 30.00 or so. (sometimes 50.00)

Haven't bought anything new for a while...the most I've ever spent on clothing was around $45 for a sweater.
Usually $20-$25 for the pants I wear, and I look for those 5 shirts for $10 type of thing at Chinatown or something <_<
It's the accessories that drain my money, like the gloves, the shoes, headbands, arm pads/bracers...>_>

I only buy clothes when I need them. I'm the type of person who will wear the same pair of pants for a week, unless they get dirty or something, then I'll wash them.
I usually do that because the pants I wear are a little costly. I'm a little chubby and I'm very anal about how my pants should fit.. so, that's my reason why I spent so much on one pair of pants.
If you look at me, you see me wearing the typical tee-shirt and jeans, the occasional long skirt. If you look at my room, I do have a lot of clothes. Many tee-shirts, tanks, and under garments.. and a lot of "goth" gear.. heh. I'm pretty selective and like comfort.. so.. that's usually why you only see me wearing certain things.
I'm pretty good at clearance and sale shopping. I usually pick up a lot of shirts that way. A lot of times Hot Topic will have their shirts half off when they get put on clearance. I got a Fruba shirt for 8 bucks.
The most I spend on clothes would be between $50 to $100 dollars.. and that's usually stuff for work.
I just hate clothes shopping. It's a pain to try everything on. And I have to because I'm so anal about the way things have to fit.
Shoes though.. heh. I have two pairs of shoes I wear the hell out of. I just spend about.. 30.. 40$ on a pair of simple VANS and they last me forever. (my first pair would still be going that I bought in '03, but I was wearing them, walking in the woods after a massive raining..) and a pair of sandals. I'm usually barefoot anyway.. so I don't always need shoes.

I think if i had more money i would spend more on clothes, but so...
At the moment i have to buy some new clothes for tennis (i play in a tennis-team) and good ones are really expensive. One shirt minimum 35€, the same for a skirt (i think it´s around $42 for one). So i can´t spend money on other clothes at the moment. I can´t remember when i get my last pair of shoes...must be over a year ago...

I believe in quality over quantity. ..I have a lot of clothes, but that I don't have nearly as much compared to some girls around. I have way too many jackets, but my mother just keeps on buying them for me. Usually an item of clothing costs anywhere from $50-$150, but I have found a couple of really awesome buys over the years(I once found this most gorgeous silk and chiffon party dress for only $20). I don't buy clothes unless they are on sale. So I usually only seriously buy clothes twice a year during the big summer and winter sale seasons. I've spent a lot of money on my wardrobe over the years...but the majority of it goes to accesories actually (purses, shoes, scarves, gloves, etc...).
I think that it's important to look professional and well kept. I think people who absolutely don't care about how they look get the short end of the stick (professionally and socially). This isn't fair, but our society is shallow, and first impressions and appearances are very important things. I don't think you need to spend a lot of money to look nice. I do, but I'm spending outside my family's means which is the most important thing. I don't think clothes are things you should get into debt for or starve yourself for (there are women in Taiwan who will starve themselves to afford designer clothing. They see it as a doubly good thing because they loose weight too >_>). But I think that you have to put at least some effort into how you look.

I spend... let's see...
Depends.
My suit cost $600 (I got em for gr.8 graduation -_-)...
But my other stuff cost like dirt cheap...
So it depends, and you know, you can buy stuff cheap at outlet stores.
So as long as you stay away from big malls, you can save a lot.
