I think it's definitely a prequel.
Isn't it about "Thousand Keyblade War".
Maybe it's a war deciding who will be the one who wield keyblade (The strongest heart) in the future, even if the evil one who wins and explain how sora and the others get a keyblade which maybe the grand 200x father/mother won. Maybe the soldier meant is Sora doesn't have a strong heart or the soldier is one of Xehanort soldier that's why he's chanting his name, about the soldier hating Xehanort maybe in the end soldier realize that Xehanort way is wrong by fighting with the chasers or some thing. Just a speculation, the only thing I can think of when thinking of thousand blade war.

I don't know if the knight is Xehanort. In KH2 Final Mix, the soldier is an extra boss and when he talks to Sora he says something about Sora is not the one he chose and then repeats the name Xehanort. If you fight him a second time, apparently he tells you he hates Xehanort. So unless the knight in the secret ending is different from the one you fight, if he is Xehanort, he hates himself?

I totally agree with SimplyX, the armoured knight can´t be Xeharnot for this reason I think that in the video one of them is Xeharnot then sould be the bald man of course (the armoured knight have is motives to hate him with all that "bald man" do to his friends).
And this armoured knight when you fight him the first time he talks about someone named Aqua ( I asume is the girl knight) and someone named Ven (I suppose he is the knight who is identical to Roxas).

But well, all are theorys and Nomura have the ability to surprise anyone when we talk about his games ^^

Just wanted to say (because a lot of people say it'll be a praquel) that there is also the possibility that it's not a praequel but you're able to go back to the past.
I read on a Kh site something like that:
Years before the happenings of KH there were 4 armoured knights (they were the earlier masters of keyblades, before Sora etc.)to protect kingdom hearts and the peace. -one of them was Xehanort-(it was before he met the real ansem)
But after a time their ways separated and 2 of them had chosen the way to light and the other 2 knights the way of darkness.(Xehanort was among these 2) [I still dunno WHO of the knights Xehanort was >_>]
So happend the keyblade-war. They Knights of the light won this war, so after the dark ones were defeated Xehanort lost his memories and was picked up by the real Ansem. After long researching and studying with ansem it came to his mind that he self IS ansem.(as we know from KHII) He studied about Kingdom hearts and the heartless...
And because Xehanort was reborn from Riku with ansem's machine which exploded in the world that never was and he was a part of riku he couldn't be defeated completely. (this is included in mickey's letter)
Xehanort remembered after his rebirth all of his past and wants to defeat the all wielder of the keyblade.
Now, in KHi, Sora has to search for a gate to the past to prevend the keyblade-war, because this war causes the heartless and nobodies.
Xehanort goes to the past too, cuz he starts this war.
But if Sora, Riku and Kairi are able to prevent this war, they will loose all their memories about the nobodies, heartless, goofy, donald etc. ......

I don't know if it will be like this, but it's very probably.
I also don't know which of the armoured knights is Xehanort and it's a bit strange that 2 knights choose light and 2 dark side, but in the trailer 3 of them seem to work together (in better words: they DO work together n_n), so I don't know if I can believe this... ummm but we all will see when Kingdom Hearts i is finally released! (I can't wait anymore, but I'm from europe so I have unfortunaly to wait a long time.... T_T I guess 2 years or even longer...)

So what are you thinking about this theory? Tell me your opinions!

Whoa whoa whoa, where did this info of 4 knights come from? It's been awhile since I played KH2 and I haven't played Final Mix, but I recall there being no mention of 4 knights. Just the 3 knights in the secret movie. Unless this is part of the theory.

It's a merely a theory:

4 Keyblade Masters/Chasers that were the original masters of all the worlds.
Xehanhort, one of the Chasers, walked the path of darkness and began to corrupt worlds, gaining great power.
3 other Chasers meet the Dark Chaser in the Thousand Year Keyblade War

The only confirmed facts thus far regarding KH3 is that the protagonists are completely new and that the blue-haired girl's name is Aqua (subject to change lol)

Hey, wait a minute...
I thought it was said that the title wouldn't be KH3?
However, those thought about the Keyblade War might be right, I think...It's fits pretty much of the atmosphere shown in the trailers. The protagonists are new though, if you go and check out some Kingdom Heasrt fansites about interviews with Nomura.
And well, seeing that KH2 took like ages before it came out after KH, I wouldn't expect this to be done within 1 or 2 years. Going to be another long wait...
But really, who knows what's going to come out next...KH has so many plot-twists it's always a great game to get...

According to the news ... the 3 armoured guy has totaly no relation-ship with current kingdom hearts character ... they're all original character ... but i must admit ... the one that got himself frozen really looked like roxas .... as for the other ..... armour guy no 1's hair look freakishly dumb to me ... while no2(blue hair dude) looked like a girl ( is it a he or she ? i really can't tell ... i personaly hoped that it's a SHE =v=V )

Yes it's a "she", the curves of the armor, face, hair, and magic-usage bias all signify a female character. Nomura has also confirmed that " her name is Aqua"

Yeah i just recently saw the trailer for this and im pretty sure that guy who got frozen was roxas...... But i just want to know how all of that will relate to sora and company. This is gonna get a lot more confusing than the last one

OMG I just can't wait for KH3!

I was suprised there was no "Kingdom Hearts" universe announcment at the S-E party this week despite rumblings in the industry. Hopefully we will hear something soon - and yeah to chime in to the rest, the "Birth by Sleep" trailer was awesome.

I have never the Birth By Sleep trailer at all. I never have realized that everyone are still talking about the Chasers since the last time I log on. But I know that there is only three Chasers unless the last one is another character. I think I read on wikipedia that the KH2 Final Mix game might come out in the fall of this year. I don't know if I'm right because I just read it several days ago and I don't know if its true since SquareEnix didn't say anything about it yet.

Im not actually sure but i wish the game would hurry and come out.
