One Piece
I was wondering who here watches one piece. I gotta say its one of the best animes out there. Even though when i got licensed and dubbed, the US version was really badly done. REALLY BAD. I notice that the anime isn't talked about much amongst this forum. If you guys do watch it, who is your favourite character?

I looooove one piece and i totally agree with you on the one piece foxbox license thing. total and utter crap! how can you turn sanji's smoking into a lollipop?? i also saw one of the epsiodes during the baratie story arc and all the pirates had this really horrible irish/pirate-y accent. it was literally torture to my senses.
ahhh but anyway i'm getting side tracked my favorite characters are luffy, zoro and sanji. i love luffy's happy go lucky attitude it also cheers me up!

I love One Piece so much. It is one of the best series I watch. It is so funny.
My favorite is Luffy (special when he becomes an idiot), Zolo (I love how he goes to the ship and just sleep).
Wat did you say? evy? Sanji's smoker becomes a lollipop?? Are you serious? ( I haven't watched the series on Fox yet) OH MY GOD............That is insane. How can they do that? Sanji is one of the coolest smoker in the anime.
I really don't like how US get anime license. They changed stuffs around. It is nonsense.

I like it, wont say I love it... duh! So Embarrasing... honestly I havent seen the anime, I have read the manga and downloaded it until volume 30, but I want to read it on paper, not on the PC, so I am buying it each time it comes out... up to volume 7 waiting for 8...
I wrote a book before watching One Piece regarding a Pirate in the year 2150... I dont see similarities, but its worth working on it for publishing retoches.
Anyways to whom I like from one piece, Luffy is funny, but he is as dumb as Goku from Dragonball, Zolo is one great character... and Nami... oh yeah one not priority character that I really liked is Zeff... he is AWESOME and COOL!
I wanna be a big bad ass pirate too! And rule the whole world and be the owner of the One Piece! YEAH! Hic... *** I am drunk already! ^^
Eh, I could never get into One Piece. I hate the art for it and the art is one of the primary reasons I watch anime to begin with. If a series is awesome artistically, that matters more to me sometimes than if the plot is spectacular or not. Like this kick ass anime Munto! It has some of the coolest art ever drawn in anime, yet it's not very deep as it's only an hour long OVA. I mean, how much depth can you possibly cram into an hour? I still love it though, and I wish the second one would get fansubbed or translated.

Jevel bryan, to be honest... why did you watch cartoon shows when you were kid? Because you liked the animation or because they made you laugh?
With one piece is something the same, for me it doesnt matter who the heck made it, while the story keeps me in, thats what differences mere watchers to book readers, if you cant find the greatness on the story then dont bother on getting a good story... cause not all good graphics have great stories and thats what makes people hate something...
The work might be so easy, it looks ease... but if you conpenetrate with the story, you might find something good about it. Dont judge a book by its cover... thats my advice!

Luffy XD!!! NUMBER 1!
One Piece is a fun anime to watch. Too bad 4kids got it and butchered it up a lot. I thought it'd suck at first but when I just tried reading the manga it was great. I'm not an addict though, but it's still a good anime/manga.
I do agree jrdehais. Wat One Piece has to hook me and other fans in is the story. It is funny. It makes me laugh. That is what important. If the art is so awesome, I think we should just buy an art book home and look at it. Why watch anime? I do agree that One Piece is not a series that the art is so wonderful or great. When I watch One Piece, I think the art is okay. I really don't mind. I think the way the artist draw is really funny (how their teeth looks like shark jaw when they get mad). There is a point for it. They don't do think that ruin the series.

I was kinda into OnePiece on and off until I watched it on the FoxBox. That totally ruined it for me. Whenever I started reading it, I'd just think of the dubbed episode 02...and stop downloading the manga.

I recommend to people watching One Piece in manga, dont judge it... get the scanlation and then judge it, read it for 10 volumes and you will see what we saw in One Piece... I knew there were 5 ovas... or something, never got the chance to look at any... Ineed to download them, can someone point me at the right direction here?
One Piece manga is awesome. They explain more details in the anime. There are some parts I don't understand in the anime but when I read the manga, it really helps a lot.
