I think the biggest question in this series is whether the events are caused by something supernatural or if its all some sort of conspiracy by normal human beings. I'm inclined to think that its the latter as something supernatural would take all the fun out of the mystery of the series by explaining it all as the doings of Oyashiro-sama or something.

That's exactly what I am thinking and hoping for. If it actually did turn out to be the work of a supernatural cause, that'd take all the fun of an actual mystery out of the story.

I'm thoroughly enjoying Tatarigoroshi-hen, almost as much as Onikakushi-hen. I like to see K1 jacked up on adrenaline and go over the edge, and this chapter certainly doesn't leave me hanging there. The anime is leaving out important scenes here and there, but nothing that doesn't disappoint me.

Highrashi no Naka Koro ni is pretty scary and freakish. The chibi like characters complete that scary/freakish look. The episode which Keiichi ate that needle was pretty nasty. And when that orange haird bimbo came to Keiichi's house and started saying "Keiichi-kun. Open the Door" over and over again, she deserved to get her hands slammed on. I can't believe Keiichi killed himself in the end of episode 5. How disappointing.

That orange head bimbo is Rena Ryuugu.

Episode 13 now makes you wonder if it is all deja vu or paranoia delusions or mere coincidence.

Ayu's was a major laugh. Yeah, the ED songs are somewhat Engrishy (still understandable though) but seriously, to have such far out hearing of the words by Ayu is totally beyond my comprehension.

Well, I thought this himatsubushihen was going to start off as one of those happy episodes, like the other beginings of the other sections, and also I thought K1 was going to be the main character, like the other episodes, but he hasn't shown up yet, the only character shown was Rika, Shion, and Mion, I was thinking through out the ep. where the hell is K1!!.... anyway pretty interesting episode, and now I actually know who's actually speaking the preview for the next episode. Oh yeah it was pretty cool when Rika went into her other personality, first time that happened... can't wait for the next ep^_^

I really hope there is no story arcs.It really kills your feeling of staying with the characters.They just probably love to kill characters.

I would have never thought that Shion was the one behind everything that happend thats crazy. All this just for Satoshi MAN! she is crazy!

Well.. I think It's a normal Cute Drama Anime.. And I don't have anime to watch! Then my Shop Agent come and I look at the animes that he sold.. Then I met Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (ひぐらしの なく頃に) anime! 1st I think it was a normal Cute Drama anime, just like the cover! Then I decided to order some of it! And I place it at the Drama Stand of my shop! Then some of my customer buy some! And the next day they come and talk to me! They said that I place wrong anime at Drama place! Then I watch it at night! What an extreme Horror anime! It's looks normal for the 1st time Till Rena's eye change and start to change lot of Keiichi life with full of mystery! Such an creepy anime!! And at the next morning I move it to "MUST WATCH MYSTERY" place! Great anime! I like it so much!

It's a great mystery anime and it had me hooked to the very end. Has anyone watched up to ep.22 yet? It changes to a different story that's based around Rena and her father. Anyone know whats up with that?

Higurashi mainly plays with the idea thet the characters' actions decide the kind of ending. In each arc (the first four are one, and so on) you see a situation from a charter's perspective and how it develops until the end. Also, each arc "resets" the story; if you notice it some are placed before or after the first arc. So, in each story the perspective changes, so you have several views of similar or linked scenes and situations.

As viewers we must solve the mistery of all the story with the hints given in the anime

This story originates from an old PC game, that is really popular; it has a manga and anime version, and a PS2 game will be released.

More like, each arc gives more hints to attaining the solution to the mystery.

From what I've heard, Triad is the most thorough, WIND is fastest, and I really don't know about Ayu. I've really only seen one of WIND's subs and one of Triad's subs to see the quality in their work. I can't really judge too well, but Triad seems to have alot more quality.
