Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

I dont know about the rest of you people but I really hate when things either get dropped or the ending is leaving offf and I know that sometimes it means that a sequal is coming but when there is no second season or when something like Tsubasa happens and it comes out that there is none when Im just psyched out and then the depression set in

Yeah, I know what you mean. Sometimes, like say... trigun... it really leaves the person guessing what will happen next. Those kind of endings are fine, to me, but when something just ends and leaves you hanging and cursing (like Nana) those i hate. Especially if you really want to see more of it. There are shows that could just end and i could walk away easily. XD but the ending is almost as important as the show in whole. An ending can almost ruin a show (stupid Nana p(T_T)q emoticon lol)

Sometimes it can't be helped. Certain endings, such as the one for Spiral, occur because the show isn't making money and so the studio just drops the title. Other endings happen because the show was slated for a certain number of episodes and so the producers need to find a way to wrap things up. Or for that matter if the anime is based off of a manga that is still running in Japan and the anime catches up to the manga occasionally the producers will decide to end it instead of going off of a separate tangent, such as Twelve Kingdoms.

Also another thing to note is that in Japan, people are more open and willing to accept an open ended show and don't need full closure. The World of Narue (Narue no Sekai to some) was left as open as a book but that was at the will of the creator. He wanted to leave it open to make the audience ponder, what next?. Where as something like Gundam F-91 was left open because, while originally slated to be a series, it was canceled and so the producers turned what 13 episode scripts that had into a movie. They ran out of material to use however which leads us to this open ending of F-91.

Haha it is very important for me...eventough the ending is hanging..i mean like very not satisfying, i have to watch the ending..i dunno why..maybe because..in the end, they will show what happened to the character..like naruto, he wants to be a hokage...but will we know whether he will achieve it or not if we dont watch the ending?

A story without an ending is like dinner without dessert. Sometimes enjoyable in itself, but it feels like something important is missing. I doubt I would start watching a series if I knew there was no conclusive episode. It would just feel too pointless.

One favourite of mine, Final Fantasy: Unlimited, was dropped. I don't know if I would have followed it if I knew this was going to happen, but I'm glad I did anyway. Continuations of the story have been released in the form of books and drama CD's, which I also enjoyed, but again the story was ended on a cliffhanger. I can't help but wonder where the plot would have gone if Square hadn't run out of fundings for it...

Sometimes it can’t be helped because the manga its based on haven’t progressed that far. Its sad because the story usually get more interesting with the latter part of the series. I remember watching Tenjo Tenge years ago and it just ended at a part that seemed liked the beginning of something really important. It was also very disappointing about Tsubasa Chronicles, but I hope the OVAs would finish up the entire series. I always assumed Fruits Basket would continue after the manga ended but I guess that would never happen. However I do enjoy finishing animes, such as Nodame and Ouran, that had good endings even though we know the story is finished yet.

I understand that things happen and It cant continue but regardless it still get you mad and sometimes manga continues like maybe 1-10 eps ahead and like Tsubasa they are coming out with an OVA but no other seasons... Regardless dropped animes still get me mad after knowing that

I'm not so sure about that. Take Evangelion for example and the effect the ending of the TV series had on the company. Their place of business was vandalized and the director received numerous death threats via email and mail.

As far as endings go...you never really want the series to end, yet in the back of your mind you want to see what they do. I've watched some good ones (8th MS Team was alright; Vandread, Outlaw Star and Cowboy Bebop ended well enough even though you wanted it to keep going- A second season would be nice but at the same time you don't want it to water out and risk becoming bad and overdone)

End of Evangelion was here and there. I rather liked it except for when they stopped right after Asuka whispered something to Shijni on the beach of ruin.

"What? After all that they end THERE?! ...son of a bi..."

Full Metal Alchemist was open ended for me up until watching the Kids OVA which is supposedly canonical. Another series could be pulled from the storyline and be just as great.

I hope they end Bleach well. It's a long series, no doubt so the ending has to be above par.

It can't be like Inuyasha...horrible.

Depends on the series. I usually likes the series that leaves me hanging, cuz you know there is more to come.

Endings are needed of course but I always get sad when it comes to the end, even if it was enjoyable from start to finish. Something too good just shouldn't end! ;)

The ending is 70-75% of the entire anime, always remember that.

The ending is just as important as the beggining the begining gets you hooked or start watching the anime while good anding will make sure you dont feel like you just wasted a part of your life that you will never get back no matter how hard you trie

The ending of a story -- regardless if it's an anime, TV series or movie -- is usually quite important, because it's the last concluding part of a story that people will remember. I think the problem that occurs with anime is that a large number are based on manga, and once they catch up to the manga source material, the animators have to choose what they must do for the show. Write their own script, running fillers, or perhaps leave the show on a hiatus for a second season are all possibilities. It's rather obvious that the writers of the animation studios usually don't satisfy the views as much as the original story, and that's why we end up seeing the infamous "bad" or "open" endings -- a final episode with a lame conclusion or no conclusion at all.

Same goes for fillers, except fillers usually give the audience hope that the story may revert back to the original manga after a time. A lovely example of this would be the Naruto anime, where almost half of the entire Part One had become filler.

The one exception I can think of would be Hellsing, which was reanimated by a different studio to follow the original manga. A lot of Chinese fans in the Chinese forums want the same to be done for Trinity blood. It's rather sad to see stories with such excellent potential become so warped by an anime, sometimes.

Well, i like animes that have sequels to be coming after them, because finishing an anime i know no sequel exists to makes me always very sad!! This feeling starts already after the first half of the anime, when i know there is not more to come, than i already watched!^^ I can´t tell you my opinion clearly, because it depends on the series very much!! in some series i would like to have an open ending and in some others i would just like a clear one!! For example: Love Hina ( the manga ) I disliked Keitaro marrying Naru, because i like the Harem-Genre very much, but after marriage you of course want the characters to stay together for ever!! But what is with the other female characters then!! My favorite female character in Love Hina was Motoko, and after Keitaros marriage with Naru what is there to be hoped for by Motoko?? I would have just liked an open ending in Love Hina, and the happy and always very funny life at hinata with delicate situations, with all the female characters!! ... Hmm, sorry, now i got quite drifted away!!/(O_O)/ emoticon but as i already wrote i can´t give you a proper answer to this question!! After all it depends very much on the series, for me!!
