Soul Calibur 4
Err, I think you're talking about SoulCalibur: Legends (Nintendo Wii). Anyway, hopefully SC4 will turn out great, the graphics look awesome so far. Namco better bring back the whole cast from SC3 or I'm gonna be sad lol
Soul Calibur 4 is really awesome. One of the best fighting game ever.
I'm looking forward to the new entry on Soul Calibur. Three just didn't have too much that I could enjoy as new content that warrant a sequel. Hopefully 4 will have more new characters, more developed characters (Seigfried's advancement with the sword Soul Calibur look interesting).

Soul Calibur 4 will have Star Wars character, it is very attract me to buy, also i think Soul Calibur is a good 3D fighting game, no reason not buy thaT!
To be specific, the 360 version gets Yoda and the PS3 version gets Darth Vader.
While Darth Vader may be the cooler character, Yoda has a way more cooler fighting style which suits a game very good. I don't see Vader jumping around or dodging at high speed to be honest.

Yoda is gonna be completely broken. Horizontal attacks wont work on him cause hes too short ;) lol. I'm pretty excited about the inlcusion of vader and yoda, I think it adds a lot more fun to the game when you can fool around with characters outsisde the series. I dont have a ps3 or xbox360 yet but when I do I'll be sure to pick up Soul Calibur IV. I just hope they have spent a a good amount of time on the fighting engine instead of the pretty graphics. It is after all fighting game and gameplay should be first priority. Soul Calibur 3 had a lot of issues with the gameplay so hopefully that wont be the case with IV.

Soul Calibur 3 had a lot of things going for it but it had its problems. I would like to see them improve upon the character creation feature since, in 3, it was very limited and most characters came out looking somewhat odd. It would also be nice to have some control over the way the created characters fought aside from picking a weapon. In addition, although you could choose from a variety of weapons from each type, there weren't really any disadvantages to most of them. Given the choice between a characters default weapon and a new one, the new ones were always better rather then giving one advantage balanced by a disadvantage. Then to top things off, the highest weapons gave ridiculous bonuses with little to no downfalls (most soul caliburs and soul edges). I always ended up turning off weapon bonuses to keep the gameplay balanced.
One of the more interesting additions that have been shown for 4 has been the inclusion of armor for characters. In early images several characters were shown wearing much heavier armor then previous games and it has since been revealed that choosing the skin with armor will result in changes to the characters gameplay (presumably sacrificing speed or complex moves for more defense and balance). It could be really interesting as long as it isn't the same as weapons were in previous games.
Also, I would like to say that, while they may be cool looking, Star Wars characters have no business being in a Soul Calibur game. Sci-fi characters don't mix well with medieval/fantasy type characters (as opposed to previous guest fighters) even if they do use melee weapons. Also, lightsabers were able to cut through metal hulls and blast doors in space ships so why would a sword, possessed or otherwise, be able to parry or block a strike from such a weapon? I guess we will just have to deal with it but I think its a bit too far in terms of crossovers.

I've yet to get a next-gen system other than the Wii, but I've been thoroughly enjoying Soul Calibur 2 for the gamecube. I rented SC3 for the ps2 once, but i quickly realized that the story mode had only one difficulty level, and it happened to be set on "Very Hard." I loved the new characters, though, and it was fun to see Siegfried (formerly known as Nightmare) in his "unpossessed" costumes. I'm excited for SC4, mostly for the (hopeful) addition of optional difficulty levels, and the addition of Yoda and Darth Vader to the fighter roster.

Yoda and Darth Vader simply have no place in the Soul Calibur world.
I mean, why are they there in the first place? I thought that Link, Heihachi and Spawn didn't fit in at first, but this is ridiculous. Good luck Namco Bandai for picking a good story to weave them in.
Anywho, I love the new graphics, but I hope that the graphics won't be the only thing that's good. I want new gameplay. And not just an RTS mode or anything. I mean new gameplay.
And I like the fact that the Create-a-Soul feature's coming back. Yay!

It may make no sense for Vader and Yoda to be in the game, but I couldn't care less. It'll be fun to play as Yoda in the 360 version and I'll probably enjoy playing as Vader if I ever play the PS3 version.
I actually hate the fact that each system has its own exclusive Star Wars character. It's a nice marketing strategy I guess but as a fan, I find it unfortunate that you can't pit Yoda and Darth Vader against each other because they're on different consoles. Hopefully after a certain period of time, the characters will be available for download as DLC.

@Hina : lol maybe you're right xDDD
