Have you ever been hit on by someone of the same sex?
• Have you ever been hit on by someone of the same sex, and how did you react?
• If you have not, how do you think you will if that should happen?
I ask cause that has happened to me more than five times already. The first time I was still in school and the captain of the football club came up to me one lunch time and started to talk to me ;( I didn’t think it that strange cause we were in the same house and both did sports) but she was three grades ahead of me. So we’re talking and she sort of drops it into the conversation. I was like "I did not just hear that", so I ignored it. Then so says “what do you think?” Then I was screaming in my mind “oh my word she is asking me out!” I just looked at her for a while, and then I was like “I don’t think that’s going to happen, you’re at least three years older than me and I’m not really into girls.” All she says to that is “uh huh.” So I was like “why would you even think something like that? Do other people think I’m ---?” She shakes her head and says “yeah, sort of.” I could not help myself I started laughing, I though it was funny as hell. After that we just stood there talking and we became good friends, but that’s just me.

That's funny. i dont really mind if i get hit on as long they dont trying anything outrageous. i remember one time i got hit on i just thanked the dude for the compliment but walked away. I turned at the sound of laughter, the guy apprently was trying to check me out and he tripped and fell. His friends were laughing at him.
Gosh yes. I flirted back, i'm really opened minded so i didn't mind. it's a total compliment for me that the same sex finds me attractive enough to flirt. if it gets serious tho, I'll try to stop it and tell them i don't swing that way. but then again i'll probably be leading that person and that's just as horrible ;;

Rofl, nothing wrong with some innocent flirting. But I guess if it does get too serious, it gets kinda awkward.
Lol well if you find it to be problematic just say it right out like you just did, nothing wrong with that. It's never happened to me before, because I'm usually pretty hard to approach. I'm the quiet loner type and whenever I'm put in a group of any sort I just let it roll like I wasn't even there and just go along with everyone else. But never happened to me. If it were to happen to me tomorrow at school or something I'd crap my pants if someone said that to me.

It happened to me before, but I just pretend I didn't hear anything because it weirds me out. Actually, any kind of 'hitting on,' whether from men or women just scares me away.

...well i can't really say wherther it was "hitting on" or wherther she was the one to do it or i was the one to answer or vice-versa...i can't remember..but well..it was fun..it got serious..it got hard..in the end, it appeared it was serious for me only..so i kind of quit..but it was nice..
Weird, I've gotten hit on many times. All you do is ignore say no and be on your way. Pretty easy if the other person takes it well.
It happened to me too, actually it just keeps happening! and its unnerving, cause i don't go that way, but i don't want to be rude to the person, so i just play nice, be very polite, but don't do anything that might lead the person into thinking that i like it...
If the person happens to try and do something, like asking for my number or something like that, i'll just say i don't go that way... so it wouldn't make sense.
lol

Umm yeah...and unfortunately it was people that i worked with. But i think after we had that awkward coverstation, everything seemed ok.
For guys i would say at some point during work you should show that you are straight by saying something like "man, joo see that girl a while ago?" or something. Then all will be ok and those awkward momens/conversations will never happen.

Haha, sort of yeah. At my old job, we use to make tons of jokes of, well, such nature. Then I got my new job, and I tried to keep the joke alive...but it's really hard to do when somebody there IS actually gay.
Yeah, I've been hit on by other females and I've also hit on other females myself so it's really not all that weird. ^^ But I swing both ways anyway so I guess it's different for me. Lol.
I flirt with a lot of people just 'cause it's fun. :P I can be so disturbingly (in a good, funny way) suggestive, it's amusing. ;D But if you put it that way, my friends and I often "hit" on each other. Well, a few of them anyway. As a joke and all. :P
Maybe as jokes, but in terms of being seriously hit on by a person of the same gender: no, very doubtful

A girl I used to be friends with (but who has since proven to be decidedly unfriendworthy) was always a little inappropriate... it was rather awkward, but also flattering in a strange way. I say treat it like any other unwanted flirtations you should encounter, and add it to the list of odd experiences in life.

@Hina : lol maybe you're right xDDD
