If we're talking about self-preference,I see one more from their personality than their looks.No matter how hot or whatever charming their looks is,if they got a bad and annoying personality,I'll immediately throw them to the slum.Looks are just as deep as a skin,the inner heart and personality is what determine yourself as a person.

As above has been stated,looks can be repaired easier than the personality.Just get them to a beauty salon or even if very needed,just do some surgery,and voila,a totally different looks.But for personality?If someone is already a bad-ass from the first time,they tends to keep that way forever.

But that was just my own preference and oppinion,the practical are far harder than just theory.

5. Men like football, face it, if you can't share something you enjoy with someone who enjoys what you like, you are not made for each other.

You only live life once so you shouldn't have to settle for someone that doesn't satisfy all your needs. That being said, some people have some unrealistic expectations.

"Back" on-topic, if I had to choose one I'm not really sure which I would go for. In favor of the good looking person, I already have friends to spend my time with so I could just come home to him and fulfill the needs that my friends can't. In favor of the not so good looking person, it would be more fun and my attractions change over time. In other words, after spending quality time with the not so good looking person I just might find them physically attractive.

It may sound cliche, but I wouldn't think the person was ugly if they had a good personality. It's a rare thing these days..
How ever; if this person blatantly didn't take care of their looks, at all: That could be a problem.

What is beauty without intelligence!Now this is a sort of rhetorical question!I have seen good looking guys and even very well dressed but in the moment they opened their mouths they ruined everything.The case from my point of view should go with both guys and girls,beauty doesn't last so much(I am young and I already have a few white hairs,) anyway maybe beauty goes for having fun,especially when it comes to guys they enjoy beautiful girls for fun but those girls usually aren't smart too,no offence guys,it is that I saw that sometimes they sort of feel scared when they see a girl with a strong personality,not in the sense of the word scared but I don't know ,they feel like it's hard to handle that person even more when that person looks good too.
Anyway the same goes with guys,why should I be with a guy that looks good but in the minute he opens his mouth and says something stupid and I have people around it wouldn't feel nice.I don't know it isn't only about the people around you but also about yourself because there are people who have their personality written on their faces,I mean they don't even need to say something to impose respect.
About beauty I have seen very for example very beautiful girls because they had make up all over themselves but without it they looked plained,with guys it's also a matter of how they take care of themselves when it comes to their looks.
Personality is by far more important for many reasons,every person could see different reasons to this idea!

but i dont...I'd rather have a girl whos like me and will love me for something other then looks...and i do the same...looks may be nice for a while but if you yourself are smart your going to get bored with someone who has no brain power.

When you don't know someone and you just met them with your friends or something, their looks is the first thing that usually attracts you to them. (before you talk to them). personality is usually what carries you 2 through the relationship. BUT sometimes girls & guys only go out with people because they look good...thats a little sad because the relationship doesn't usually work out!

Looks are important, but you can never stay with someone if they don't have a good personality.
