I'd pass it. I don't care how hot he/she looks if he/she is a jerk.
I believe people these days always judge others by the skin. So don't be surprised by the numbers of trafficking or those human trades stuffs. Most of the victims are fooled by the looks of their abductors.

I choose the personality over the look. If she is extremely beautiful but she is a jerk or she has bad personality...oh man, this is = nothing.

I'd have to say I prefer someone with a good personality but I can't disregard looks all together. No matter how much I get along with the other person it doesn't really work if I'm not attracted to them.

I would go for personality I think. It doesn't matter.
I would go for personality, although its something you cant know, regrettably, just by looking that person. So, in first instance you go for what attracts you physically.
But at long term, personality is better.

But when I really have to choose, i'd take personality any day. Previous relationships failed prolly because we realised we don't work out, personality - wise.
I guess, in a way, personality also contributes to a person's beauty.

When it comes to a relationship you have to have a pull between two people before they actually knew each other. If you haven't noticed, good looking people usually date good looking people, normal people date normal people, and weird people date weird people, if you go by appearance. There are those few exceptions like someone got lucky, but the real issue is when someone has gotten to know the real you. That's why I personally don't steady date. I do one date too become great friends with someone. Not because of that attraction pull, I want to know who that person is truly. It also breaks the wall and let's you meet new people, and what kind of people you tend to like and the ones you can't stand to be around. So in the end, appearance doesn't matter and only personality. Because if you're thinking of spending your life with someone you truly love, you should make sure that their personality goes with you or else you have a cruddy rest of your life.

It seriously depends on what the purpose of making this decision is.
If it's like, to have a one night stand, well obviously I'd go for the looks.
If it's for a lifelong relationship, then definitely the personality.
I don't treat it like the two attributes are mutually exclusive though.

Sadly if I was gonna go out looking for a girlfriend, (Say in a bar or something, I dunno where you do these things XD) I'd be more likley to go over and talk to the pretty girls...
Hm, but if I met someone who had an awesome personality and not so good looks, I'd be attracted to them too. But if I dated someone amazing looking who was a total bitch I wouldn't keep it going...

People who have personality - great personality, I don't see them as being good looking typically. Either way it depends on what you want to settle for, once you find someone worth your love and time it shouldn't matter to you as much but typically I have a lot of friends with personality (guys and gals) but they aren't good looking, and not necessarily smart either. But you can have lots of friends. ^^; So I like looks and personality -- but they don't have to be like TOTALLY hot or anything. :P
Ok here is how I see it. If I see a really hot girl in say a bar, or at a party I'm more likely to approach her and try to get her to go on a date with me than say an average looking girl who I don't know who supposedly has a 'good personality'. Here's why, you can't see personality. When you see someone for the first time all you can tell about them is what you can see, and I would think that hot beats average in most people's eyes.
Now that being said would I stay with a girl who is hot just because they were hot, and had a 'bad personality'? Um...no... Personality matters more in the end because I feel I would need more of a connection to the person I get romantically involved with.
Which matters more in my oppinion? Probably personality. Looks are nice and dating someone beautiful to look at that you have a connection with is wonderful, but...if they only have their beauty then there is no point. I would sooner stay with a girl with a good personality regardless of how they look before I stay with a hot girl without one.
