I think it may be a waste of time get it a waste of time!? lolz!
i agree with Enstine's theory that the past can't physically exist so you can't go back but you can look back in time. i also agree with Steven King's theory that the past is eaten up by giant hairy cannon balls with chain saws for teeth called Langoliers !

There's too much in the universe we can't even fathom at the moment, so I wouldn't rule time travel out. I mean we still haven't even found a true unifying theory yet. Hell we've barely been into space ourselves.
But there are also the paradoxes that would occur if time travel was possible, making you think it can't be possible..because just what would happen in the case of said paradox (Such as the grandfather paradox)
Although, I'd say even if it were possible, it shouldn't be allowed. The past is in the past and shouldn't be meddled with anyway.

90% I think it's impossible. 10% I think it's possible. If you tell me to believe in human's ability to fly then I can believe in that but traveling through time is kind of fictionous.
But seriously, if people DO travel through time, that is not too good. Imagine you return to history and fix it. History is what happens in the past and you should leave it in the past. There are things that we human should learn to let go and give up. I think it's wonderful if we can travel to the beginning of the Earth to have a look of ancient organisms. That must be cool! But still, we should face the fact that they don't belong in our time. If I want to stop something, I would like to stop Hitler's massacre of the Jew. That was so horrible and tragic.

That's the exact problem if time travel is possible.
People will want to change horrific events, but the problem is, you have no idea how that change will effect the timeline. Stopping one horrific event that we already know of may lead to something far worse that we don't know of. It's too unpredictable.

Traveling backwards through time is impossible, because anything you actually do in the past will change the future. Even if you step on a plant - well that plant could have been the ancestor of the potato or of foxglove. Or it might have been the spot where the first locust was born. A little thing changed but that little thing has a big impact into the future.
Looking back in time is also dangerous. Already there are too many wars and conflicts because 50 years ago this people invaded this country or 1000 years ago this religion split into two other religions. It's better to look forward and live in the present.

I don't real know its possible or not but i prefer the ability to pilot macross or gundam since its way cooler than time travel .
I do believe that it is possible but not in the near future for sure. maybe in the next century, if still humans haven't destroyed this planet and the different faces of life haven't been wiped out from the face of the earth yet, probably at that time, our kids can use time travel machines like how we are using cars.
ahhh, I wish I could see that future. p(T_T)

I think it's possible, but very hard to conduct, because time flow is always changing. The past may be stable, but if we visit it, we may alter it, and it might lead to some changes in our time - like in many movies dealing with time-travelling theme. It's very interesting anyway and I'd love to try it someday... I want to see the future more than the past, though.

Time travel is possible and every one does it but only in the forward direction but you can stay in one day for 36-48 hours i can't remember the math for the date lines if you had a plane that could cross one date line every hour then stopp before you got to the date line that would jump you a day... actually now that i think about it you can skip hours forward by crossing a dateline also.

Time's just like any other dimension. If you're floating down a stream, all you need to go upstream is a motor. Just find a way to "push" against time and slow down, speed up, stop, or even go backwards. Though, the idea of stepping into the time machine and coming out in a different era is probably a ways off; we haven't even figured out how to do that in three dimensions.
A scarier question: Since time seems fairly constant, imagine that we're traveling through the "space" of time in a straight line at a constant velocity, with no interferences. Now what if we were to get caught in the gravitational pull of a "time star"? We'd suddenly start to accelerate, and the course of events would no longer be linear. We'd be speeding towards the end of existence while history fluctuates faster and faster.

Time is relative, it is not a constant because of the fact that it is effected by things like speed, it's just that the discrepancy is too small to notice by using a normal clock. Also, You'd only notice it if you were still at one 'time-speed' and everyone else was at another.
If we were ALL going faster...well that's only FASTER because it's being compared to our current time.
As for "time star" there are black holes. The gravitational pull theoretically causes time dilation, which once again just shows time is relative. To the person falling into the black hole time will be moving normally, but relative to the outside it would be quite different.

Well, we've been watching anime our whole life so we were largely influence with these kind of things. But you see, how could one think of it, if its not possible. I am just assuming that in order for a story to come up, it may also be real as well.
I want to do it if given a chance but I think there's a massive equivalent price for it.
I think time travel exist. There's also a large chance that we may be encountering people from other dimension.

I Agree with swords^^
Its just your imagination, I mean, common, thats some crazy movie everyone has seen and thinks thats even possible, if you want some advices to cure your crazyness, go to your nearest physics teacher or doctor

@Hina : lol maybe you're right xDDD
