Soul Eater Voices
I saw the first episode of soul eater and the voices for maka and soul were so different from what i imagined. i read the manga and i thought soul would have a higher voice. i wasnt sure about maka but the voice she has now just stinks. but thts my opinion what are yours?
Hm... I've only read few vol, so I can't say much, but I agree that, I was expecting bit more different VA from Maka and Soul, but I think, over-all they did good job. Specially Death Scythe! He's so funny~~!
Haha maka's voice does seem to be a bit flat and monotonous, but I guess it just makes her unique...I think it sort of fits her, but yeah. i think souls voice is pretty cool...deep, but cool XD soul eater looks like it's going to be a great series though
I was thrown off a little on the voices too, but it's not too bad. I like OP song by TM Revolution.

Soul's voice is really unfit for him. I thought it will be more like a "rebel" voice. His current one is more like an old 40's guy. Maka's okay and Tsubaki's perfect. Black Star and Death-the-Kid's are kinda....(no suitable comment)

Yeah, I don't like maka's voice too. And I've heard lots of my friends who watches this series complaining about her voice...

Agree on Tsubaki, her voice was perfect. Death the Kid's voice gave me a good laugh with his comedy. Didn't think I would be hearing the voice of Light from Death Note or Zero from Vampire Knight whining over symmetry lol

I do agree that Maka's voice does sound monotonous, but it sorta grew on me as I heard her speak more. Her voice is nice, but I think her acting could've been better. And Soul's voice is a bit too deep
I'm not entirely sure how I feel about Maka's and Soul's voices but I do know I love Death the Kid's voice. I think it fits him very well. ^^ Also, I wasn't expecting Shinigami-sama's voice to be so... silly sounding. But it suits him.
There's a lot of people not impressed with Maka's voice. Yes, the VA is a rookie but I really love it to be honest. Sounds really unique.

Hmm, i kinda disliked Maka's voice in the first but the more she talked just liked she sounds cool to me, that's what i think. . . Soul's voice sounds also good on me Black star's is also nice, but overall, I really liked the Soul Eater, mostly in the first episode, when she fought with a scythe, she looked so cool

My god, I can't believe you guys don't like the VA parings for Maka and Soul lol. i guess it may be the fact that this is my favorite anime currently, but i think the graphics and the voice acting are great. Despite the fact that Maka's seiyu is a newbie, I think her voice is really cute and not monotonous at all. Soul;s voice makes him sound cooler so i guess that is part of the whole plan. Lol, just because its not typical doesn't mean it isn't awesome. I mean at least the boy characters' seiyu are well...boys. Lol!
