How does you family feel about Anime?

Well, i never really talks about it wiith myparents and i ddont want to but i know theyy think it s not norrmal for my age.
When i buy me a new anime DVD of an PVC Figure they say i throw it out of the window but i dont caree since i throw my money out of the window for something i love XD
The only PPerson in my Famaaly who understand it a little bit ismyy 13 yeears old sister but she isnt intop it llike me sso she cant be such aa heelp forme.
Since iam the only really anime fan inmy famaly besides myylittle sister i dont talk about it so i yould say iam someething like a loner at home

My family keep saying i'm still a kid watching animes =p
Well, they use to be very annoying about it.
Since my grades are pretty much...well, crap, they almost always blamed it on the time I spent watching anime or reading manga. Nowadays, they usually rarely talk about it to me. Except for my dad, who makes fun of me by speaking gibberish that sounds like Japanese. :(

Wow... well, my sister loves anime, a lot more than me, I basically only watched Ikkitousen, Gantz and Tenjo Tenge, and read the mangas too :p ,but I digress, most of my family doesn't know I watch this stuff, even if they don't say anything, in general I'd say they don't care as long as it's not inherently sexual in nature like Ikkitousen, I've watched other anime series too, usually the kind that is family friendly like Shaman King, let's just say that as long as it's not offensive, they don't care too much, as of late I haven't watched anime so... I guess it's fine

I think my family is pretty cool with anime, Hell my dad sometimes likes to watch animes with me! and lIke my uncle is anime geek, my cousins are like anime geeks too and like my sister likes a few selective ones...and my dad's gf kids loves animes...so I'm surrounded with people that likes animes! WHOOT!

So true. I am the only one in my family that adores anime. It sucked for a long time. I did get lucky though cuz I am dating someone that likes it as much as I do. I'm not bummed out about it so much anymore.

Weird...I thought I put a comment on here but it doesnt seem to be showing. Well anyways, like most I am the only one in my family. The good thing though is that since I live on my own and have a three year old, SOME, definetly not all anime I play for her. She should enjoy it too.

My mother doesnt really care if i like it, as long as i dont have any ecchi or hentai out in the open where my younger sister can get it. she'll buy me anime stuff (mainly pokemon stuff), but she doesnt really care for it. My father however either says "oh its baby shit you shouldnt be watching" or "why are you watching f*cking porn" (when it'd be something like eva)
then my grandfather says its all a waste of money.

Alas, I am the only one in my family that watches anime...TT^TT
Well actually my family doesn't care what I am watching and reading since it is my own choices and they respect my idea's and privacy. but of course any time I tried to bring up this subject in order to discuss with them and introduce them to some good anime shows or manga books, the lack of interest toward anime in their reactions was so obvious that I stopped trying. 
ahh, I guess that I'd prefer to watch my anime behind closed doors these days.

My brother watches basically the same anime as me, He and His bestfriend showed me anime actually.
My mother dislikes anime because she enjoyed old animation where the characters had true to life details only (facial features, expressions, perorations, and shadows ect.) and dislikes the fact lower quality hand drawn material and computer graphics have taken over..
My father feels the same as my mom, but he has always liked science fiction stuff and being an ex-Navy man ..he has shown interest in things like Full metal alchemist and Ghost in the Shell. *lol* Oh, and Death Note he laughed at Light. He once made a comment about the naruto dub he said "well you can't really complain too much, his voice in Japanese was pretty annoying too"
My parents used to make some fun every blue moon, but over the years they have become used to it.

Unfortunately, no one in my family likes anime as much as I do. Dad only watched one short movie (Magnetic Rose, I believe that's called) and liked it, anything else is no-no. Mom loves Miyazaki, but I doubt she'll ever try to watch anything else...

Well lets see, My mum thinks it's utter crap and my sis isn't far behind. My brother watches anime though, he is the one that got me watching it again after I had stopped for a few years.
My sister loves Yu-Gi-Oh and Dragonball Z and for a short time, she also loved the anime version of One Piece but she dabbles in and out of the manga sometimes too.
About as far as it goes for anime liking in my family.

But nevertheless, they think it is good for their children (add my brother) to learn a new language..I learned Japanese only by watching anime ^^
