Console or PC?

This is hard ;o. I would choose both. Console > PC for overall game fun. PC > Console for online MMO's and the fact that emulators and stuff.
I'd rather have a Console if that Console could do what a PC could do. =]

I'd prefer both, cause they both special features that distinguish one from another, the consoles has a social feature meaning where anyone can play without cramming next to each other on the pc and fighting just to know who's next, each one has her/his own space.the pc has a programs feature where at some point people who play the game a lot will extract the game from the disc and create a copy and make programs for it.
I never really got into computer games. I played WoW but even that only lasted me a year. When I think of PC games, I only think of FPS and WoW. To me, Console just has more variety of games. Plus, if games are multiplatform, PC versions usually comes out months later.
I think that the right balance between PC and Console is the best. I enjoy console games like Mario and LoZ because they have always been console games. But games like Half Life 2 and Team Fortress 2 are best enjoyed on the platform they were designed for: the PC.

Both can be great. There are exeptions, but generally I think like this:
For consoles I prefer:
Racing, platformers, fighting games
For PC I prefer:
RPGs, Strategy games, FPS.
I just think that some games are better with a gamepad/joystick and a big TV, and some games are better with a keyboard and the better precision of a mouse.

For PC I prefer:
RPGs, Strategy games, FPS.

I would take both, even if I rarely play on PC.
Since I've got a laptop, I prefer playing on my PS3 because of the bigger screen >.> But I also prefer playing on consoles cause I spend most of the time in front of the PC to do other things, to change a little bit %)

The fact is throughly I'm a console but sometimes PC too as well, kinda honestly in such 1/2. However my tastes for games are unique. The output for liking consoles like PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, PSP, Nintendo DS and Wii.
Wanna have those to play to improve my impact in skills for gaming at all times.
There are times did buying games at PC. Right now my motives either japanese or english games in console or PC no matter. For gamer maniac way!

Consoles are for games, PC for everything.
Yeah, someone said it, only problem is this thread is about... games. Not how PC does everything.
Well, nowadays, consoles do more than just games, but I won't get into that: I have PC already.
Only problem is my PC is a lousy little old piece of technology and it does give us more an advantage to buy a PS3 (which comes with Blu-Ray and we're planning to get an HD tv sometime this decade) than a new PC: we mostly use the computer for email, typing works and resumes, and photo editing. Amateur photo editing. Our computer is old, it hates new games (I've tried... and they were FREE games, for Din's sake...) but it'll have to wait.
More console games I want than PC games anyway.
And the PC games I want have a 15 dollars per month fee.
So, in my case, even if we forget about the HD TV, choosing the PS3 won't starve my wallet as much as getting the PC games I want.
Sure, HD graphics are a waste on our TV, but I'm making a choice according to the games I want -to play-.
Now, about what makes game developpers decide if something should go on the PC too or not... Many here know more than me, but it annoys me when people say 'they think it'll be too hard or they're lazy' etc etc. The people in the gaming industry know their technology, they get paid for it, they have a tight schedule, they try to keep up with the market (or else, it can kill a company). They just don't go 'meh, today we made a shooter, pick a random console'. Hmrph.

For me its 50 50 because i like both
Pc is a lot better than console.
It's kind of hard for anyone to truly say that either PC or consoles are better. The topic/ debate itself is extremely broad. There's already civil war happening in each respective realm, ie. AMD vs Intel, ATI vs nVidia, Mac vs PC, or PS3 vs 360, Dualshock vs 360 controller, etc. the narrower topics go on and on. It all comes down to preference. I know some friends that would be lost trying to play FPS without a 360 controller, whilst I, myself, loathe playing shooters with anything other than mouse and keyboard. Essentially, consoles are better than PC's to console gamers and PC's are better than consoles to PC gamers. Some will defend their respective realm to the death, while others feel like the grass is always greener on the other side. It all depends on what you want to play and what you want to play it on. Is Killzone 2 worth getting a PS3? Is Gears of War 2 worth getting a 360? The only person that can answer these questions for you is yourself. Always remember take other people's opinions with a grain of salt and to never take them to make your own, but rather formulate your own opinions. "To each, his own."
