Small things that immensely piss you off?

If you're cynical, then I am, too.
My, I guess, pet-peeves would be when people chew with their mouth open, when people pop their collars (get a freaking turtle neck if you want your neck to be hidden, geez)... People who don't signal when they turn. Pedestrians who don't understand that the red hand means "DON'T WALK." People who YELL through their phones during casual conversation; the mic is right next to your freaking mouth, I'm sure they can hear you just fine.
I simply cannot stand it when my brother sings. He sucks, and he doesn't stop...
All these things don't annoy me, they piss me off. |:

Things that piss me of are pretty silly but they piss me of nonetheless.
The ice-cream truck that comes in everyday and stays in front of our house for like half hour. The music gets so annoying. Furthermore no one is buying.
Another thing is when people say you didnt call them when you did and left a message on THEIR mobile. Faulty technology? Yeah right!
My cousin! He's one of those people who spews ignorance at various subjects and acts like the smartest person in the world.

When you buy used CDs and they have a big hole at the corner of the case. I don't know if this topic fits or not but whatever. I'm a perfectionist collector and when I buy CDs that matter to me, I want it to be in good condition. You want to win all the situations, we all know that. But I recently bought a brand new, still wrapped NIN Downward Spiral (collector's edition). With two CDs with all the songs I already have. It was new, I was excited, I wanted it for my collection, and it was the best price closest to free. I got it at a local music shop where their entire store is used CDs. When I got home, I realized that it was indeed new, but It has a hole drilled into the entire case - luckily not far enough to the cover. This reminds me of all the CDs that have either a slit at the case sleeve or a big hole in the back. I know why they do it, but is it really necessary? Is it really needed? Am I complaining way too much?
Or what about the promotional stamp on the cover? Does anyone own a CD that has that message where it states, "For promotional purposes only, Do not resell it in any way, please return to the company?" It doesn't state that exactly, but you know what I'm talking about. Oh well, I'm grateful for finally getting it and for the rest of the CDs I have.

When things dont get to be done as I plan >_<
You are perfectly normal
Everyone has those small pet peeves that just set them off. Sometimes we have them for no real reason. It's just learning how to control yourself reacting to them. I know I have like millions of little small things that tick me off. There are some girls they just have to talk and they annoy me cause their tone is just so annoying and rude and I don't like it when people talk that way. There are probably other things i dislike I don't think you ever really know what sets you off until it happens.

Longbow, those things are definitely not small. Not at all.
Common small things that piss people off would probably be in the realm of nose-sniffling. I think tons of people don't like it, including me.
Even when I'm the one doing the sniffling.
Scratch that, especially when I'm the one doing the sniffling.
Nose sniffles are really in the realm of a fact of life. That doesn't stop people from getting pissed off.
My kind of personal hypothesis of sorts would be that getting pissed off at random things like nose sniffles is kind of like an outlet for anger, relieving whatever stresses you have in life, big or small. It's nothing weird. Life would probably be strangely empty without some stress every now and then. Probably allows you to enjoy the relaxation time you have more, or something.
Almost getting put in the hospital due to another's bad driving - not a random small thing. More in the realm of a stressful incident. Your reaction is by no means strange or out of the ordinary.
Me getting pissed off that the Steelers won even though I don't really watch football at all and truthfully don't really care about football except for that one time even though I didn't even watch the game or listen to it or anything:
That's pretty weird.

When people ask me things like "do you have a job?,what do you planning to be in the future?", and the best one is "you have to do something right now"
its not that the people are wrongs its just i know that stuff and instead of telling me that they yould also help in such matters.
Well hats what pisses me off if its about the small thing XD

There are a number of little things that turn me off in a big way. And a number of them have to do with computers. Let there be no mistake about it, and I make it clear: I am a stickler for performance, and I want to use systems that can perform at the highest capacity. High performance leads to high productivity. And low performance leads to low productivity.
So I have no sympathy for computers that are slow, and browsers/programs that keep hanging at the drop of a hat. I mean, I have a desktop, and I go onto it, and I try to switch tabs in my browser (I use Firefox as a general rule), and then the it says: "[Name of Page] - Mozilla Firefox (Not Responding)." It gets under my skin when I am try to chat, upload this and that, and to see a program fail to respond means that either my browser is a memory hog, or my system has seen better days.
I curse at it, smack it from the side out of insubordination, and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del the system to bring up the Task Manager and kill the process. Sometimes, I even have to go far as to hit the Reset button on my system to get back to where I was before. It's not something I like to do, but I have to do it every now and then in case these little things keep coming back. It's routine.

None of those are small.
They're generally things anyone should be expected not to do, out of common decency. I tend to feel somewhat revolted when I see people not washing their hands when leaving the men's toilet, though I wouldn't consider such a flagrant act of poor hygiene that small either... also boredom gets to me quite a bit to the point of madness.

For the most part, the thing that pisses me off the most is, stupid people. Sounds mean, but its true, they just tend to get on my nerves.
As for driving incidents. Just yesterday I was giving my roommate a ride home from work, and the road we were on, this truck parked literally in the middle of a one lane road to pick someone up, even though there were parking spaces on both sides if the street that the person could've have pulled into.

When people just keep talking and talking and talking
God, driving pet peeves aside, (I've got a huge laundry list of them) there are a handful that make me irrationally annoyed.
I can't stand when people run water when they brush their teeth, don't lock my car door when they get out, and leave their shopping carts in the middle of the parking lot (O HAY THANKS FOR LETTING THAT HIT MY CAR) because that actually affects other people.
But conversely, some little things make me insanely happy, like people tipping the person at takeout, old couples holding hands, and kids reading at the table in restaurants.

I think I basically hate the majority of the population. I really think people are getting more stupid by the day. I work in retail and I worked last weekend and I just can't believe how rude people are. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people are at the counter checking out and are on their cell phones. They act like you are interrupting their conversation and it takes forever to ring them up because they are so engrossed in their conversation to pay attention to whats going on. I had this lady and she actually said to me, "sorry I was on the phone, I know its so rude, but I had to take the call." That made me even more angry! Guess what, you are not that important, you can frigging go two minutes without being on your phone. And another thing is repetitive anonymous phone calls with no voicemail messages left!
I never answer them (unknown) callers, PERIOD! Especially on weekends because I could end up having to go into work or something, it's not like I get a ton of phone calls really, I don't, but if you can't tell me who you are then I don't want to know! And it's kind of weird not to leave a message. And I'm very judicious about who I give my number to so guess what?! (And I'm on the do not call lists!) Sigh people and random dialing computer programs really sucks sometimes! I dread it when people say that "life is short". What the hell? Life is the longest damn thing anyone ever does! What can you do that's longer? Someone please tell me the answer to this, I'd love to know?!
