After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Anyone here know if Shinta had a archive site?

Oh I definitely don't subscribe to any particular scene. It just happens to be the genre I listen to my most. One of all time favorite bands being Splashdown.

Just so long as you aren't one of those stuck up indie kids

$Loftydreamer 2 hours 44 minutes ago
I pretty much am across all genres. I have so much music I can listen to music nonstop for an entire year without hearing a repeat. Though I seem to spend more time with indie music and local bands.

`Sakiera 2 hours 47 minutes ago
I listen to a variety of genres ranging from Sara Bareilles to The Dillinger Escape Plan to Monty Are I to Baracuda

$Loftydreamer 2 hours 49 minutes ago
They really are. So are you a metal fan in general. How about other genres?

`Sakiera 2 hours 52 minutes ago
I've only heard a few Epica songs but from what I've gathered they're quite good

Without money you wouldn't have a home, without money you can't buy food, without money you can't buy the things you need to survive in this world. Is money important to me? Yes it is, there are those that are willing to work hard for it because they need it. Money is what makes the world a sane place to live without it we would probably turn back into the old ways of living..... Where parents sell there kids...stealing...

Money to me is as important as my food. Without it I can't eat. However If I was some farmer in the plains or tropics of Europe or South America, money wouldn't be as important. Since I could probably just grow everything. In the world of specialization money has become more important.

It's a fact money makes the world go around. From peace to war, to happiness to hatred, etc. Like everyone says here without money you can't support yourself and/or your family.

It is very important to me because it gives me many options as oppose to limited! When I lived with my parents, they constantly fought over money (and they fought A LOT) it was always about how to spend it and how much of it to spend or save. My Mom was a saver (say it with me: cheapskate), Dad was a spender. Now, if everybody has the same philosophy on money, I'd imagine it's a bit easier. These days, you could survive totally without money totally in a tribe of some sort way out in the boonies somewhere, but that's about it. In that case, I'd say your mental and physical health would be rather high if you knew how to work the land. Hunter/gatherers were actually very healthy. The main problem would be the high infant mortality rate.

Lots of money can help you in terms of not having to work until you're about ready to die, it can help you pay for decent insurance and proper preventative care, it can help you pay for gym memberships and exercise equipment. It can provide you with access to clean water and good food. Love don't put food on the table, but money don't make the food worth eating. It's definitely needed in a "civilized" society and I live in it, so I need it (a lot would be better then a little.)

Hmm well I don't consider money as my highest priority or anything but when I receive my allowance I'm very happy. lol Actually it's not really money that makes me happy but the things that I can buy with it. Sure, money doesn't equal to eternal happiness or whatever but I don't really know anyone who has achieved that. But even if money doesn't provide eternal satisfaction at least it makes you happy even though its just temporary, it also provides a person with security. Without money, I can't buy food, I can't go to school, I can't buy clothes or things I want. Plus, if money was gone I wouldn't have anything to spend on anime or manga so it's pretty important to me. I don't desire to be as rich as Paris Hilton(so rich that I think she even pays people to be her friends lol), I just want to have enough for my wants and needs. Lol. (Don't worry I know the difference XD)

Well money is the most important thing in a life of a man. Money can buy all happiness for you, it is most Probable true. You can't servive in this world (which is crucial & monopolistic) for long without money. You have to build your own power & status. And it's a fact that we can't gain power without money.
But it's also true that to have a good knowledge about using money for owns benefit need good education & skills. Human by nature is greedy, the more comfort we get from money the more currupt we become. We can't understand the value of money in just one day.
It's also true that though it gain happiness in your life it also helps you to gain more enemies. Others money & power always create Jealousy & hate in heart of the people who doesn't posses any of those. So it is more important to understand the value of money & not just always utilize it for our own benefits.

Here's an answer backed by many field studies as well as sociological theories: The correlation between money and happiness is extremely strong when one has very little money, but weakens significantly as one becomes increasingly wealthy. The truth of the matter is, if one doesn't have money he or she can never be happy in the long run - perhaps he or she can convince herself temporarily that he or she has traded the money (or perhaps the opportunity to make the money) for something more worthwhile, but when he or she notices that everyone else around him or her has money and can use that money to purchase whatever it was he or she had traded away his or her money for, unhappiness, discontent, and frustration are quick to settle in.

One who has to live from day to day worrying if there is going to be a next meal or if the repo-man might come any second cannot possibly be sane and steady-state happy. Interestingly enough, as research has soon, the converse is also true: who is sane (or just perceived sane or competent) and always happy will not remain destitute for long. Thus there is most definitely a strong connection between happiness and money when money is small.

When money increases, however, the happiness gain is then logarithmic as imposed by the limits on how much a person can actually spend on him or herself. Thus, if we were able to quantify happiness, we would notice that the man of net worth 10 billion dollars is no noticeably happier than the man with a net worth of 100 million dollars; both have enough money to go wolf down a truck of Russian caviar if they so wished and so it isn't so particularly meaningful or joyous to do so.

Ultimately, however, research conducted at the University of Michigan has shown that steady-state happiness, believe it or not, depends on genes. The average human is essentially a walking assembly of differential equations whose set of solutions are all convergent (the fact we all alive and not exploding left and right are proof of this). And the happiness equation, despite having an obvious sinusoidal oscillatory nature, is also ultimately convergent to some sort of reference happiness set into our genes. Thus, while we can externally affect our happiness values with disturbances such as an increase in pay, a tasty meal, or really good sex, it ultimate settles back down to our reference value unless we constantly change our disturbance values. Consequently, as French saying goes, "variety is the spice of life".

Pratically its important but actually its just another thing we use...
It just seems important now adays because others think "money makes the world go round" and only because its the main thing that gives us access to the things we need and want. Without it, some are considered lonely, homeless, or even poor but they are never considered unhappy. Just like what the others said, it may be equivalent to many things' worth but its impossible for it to be equivalent to one's happiness...

To foxnewsnetwork: Reading the part about genes helped me to recall something so I searched for it. If anyone is interested I copied and pasted the essential about the role of genes.

We are born with a particular genetic makeup that is deeply ingrained and difficult to change, regardless of experience. This makeup is translated into personality traits that can be broadly generalized into categories such as neurotic, extraverted, etc. Some of these traits end up being conducive to our happiness and well-being. The less neurotic an individual is, for example, the happier he or she tends to be. Since these attributes are genetically prescribed and predictive of our happiness, some would say the amount of happiness we are able to experience in life is limited to a great extent by our genetic makeup.
It is easy, however, to take this argument a bit too far. A headline today on sciencedaily.com, for example is “Genes Hold the Key To How Happy We Are, Scientists Say”. This is not really what the authors of this study are claiming. They instead are suggesting our genes provide us with a starting point, a set-point, of emotional stability, which we end up moving from in one direction or another based on our experiences. While it is important for some of us to understand how the limitations of our genetic makeup might handicap us when it comes to the enjoyment of life, it’s also necessary to point out that the environment can have drastic effects on who we are compared to our original constitutional makeup. People born with what might be considered an unfavorable personality assessment according to the FFM (Five Factor Model) often come up with innovative ways to improve their life, and their outlook on it. So, do genes alone hold the key to how happy we are? I don’t believe so. But they may provide us with a rough outline, albeit one that we are able to constantly revise throughout our lives.

I think money is part of the equation to calculate happiness. Now whether is mutliplied by a factor of 2 or add 1 really depends on the person. We all need money to survive and buy things that we like. So money definitely plays an important role in our happiness. With that said, we can all agree that sometime we cannot buy happiness, such as love and friendship. (I guess in certain ways we can, but we know very well is not genuine). many wish for peace on earth or to be with someone who is already departed from this world, and you can't buy that either.
